im posting this because alot of people dont play anything less then 8's anymore well thats the case in my arcade. They stick to the heavy setting for all there songs. Sure there are heavy songs that are 7 footers such as freckles but you can find so much more on standard. Alot of people who play on standard level go to heavy level every now and then to play harder songs. Well I encourage you people who play on heavy to go back to standard and do some 7 footers. I know what your thinking waste money to do a easy song like that in the arcade? I don't think so.... but think about it there alot less stamina draining and there perfect for practicing your PA, hey a AAA on a 7 is a AAA on 7 footer regardless of the mode. For those of you who have never gotten a arcade AAA this is for you go back to standard and do a song that is like a 9 you would normally do on heavy such as dropout and do it on standard. Hey you might get lucky and get your first AAA. I'm not asking you to use all your money on 7's but maybe for your first stage go back to standard. People are missing so many fun songs like afronova (its really fun on standard E1.gif )
thanks for your time in reading a thread that you probablly will not consider but hey werent you doing 7's on standard for a while before you made that transition to heavy ? E19.gif something to take into consideration.. actually GO BACK to standard and play a song. It's just like if you were a standard player and went to heavy to play a song ( with almost a 0% chance of failing)

there are ALOT of 7 footers what is your favorite? Mines dropout260

i enjoy dynamite rave, cartoon heroes, captain jack, end of the century, and healing vision angelic mix on standard every once in awhile to remind me of how much better i've gotten since some of those used to be hard for me back in my standard days which were december04-mid feburary of 2005.....i started strictly playing heavy in late feburary..... and i started playing DDR november 14, 2004...

first AAA: spin the disc light mode 1.5 solo laugh.gif that was back in march i think.

End of the Century isn't as irritating as a 7-footer, I'll give you that.

Is it just me or is Trip Machine (Jungle Mix) easier on heavy than on standard?

I just passed my first 7-footer last week, Love Shine on Heavy.
I was happy happy indeed.
Still no AAs on heavy mode though. frown.gif

Sorry for making an Off-Topic post in this thread, but I would like to know what PA means.

Perfect Attack: A method of judging accuracy among players. The predominant method used for tournaments in the United States. Score is based on percentage of perfect steps out of total steps, without regard to combo's.

So your saying that you want me to go back to standard, even though i hated standard and I'm already able to A-average Max300 heavy? Seems like a waste of time IMO. I'll stick with practicing heavy songs

I think that he's just saying that a lot of standard songs are really fun, and those of us who have moved up to heavy shouldn't forget that.

The only time I'll do standard is if I'm doing a nonstop course or if I'm attempting an oni course. Its still fun though.

*has fond memories of passing Burning Heat standard for the first time (and being the first standard I ever passed)*

I would, but there are very few standard songs right now that are actually a challenge anymore. I do it sometimes to remind myself that ive gotten so much better (usually after having PSMH thrash me.) Its hard to believe I actually had a hard time with some of the standard songs when I play them now tongue.gif
