What Do You Do To Put On A Show?

do you think max 300 still impresses people if you use the bar? I'm not so sure really...I can get a C or so on 300 with the bar, but I mean...everyone spazzes on those uber fast songs and sometimes I wonder if it's cool or just downright weird. anyway afronova is always a safe bet I think...I can get really into the song, and that's a big part of it. if you really like the song and get that uber-intensity, you definitely look better than if you're just lazy-ddring. like in afronova...the first run that's repeated a second time...that makes you sort of orbit around...people like that. but for the part that makes people spaz usually, I do a 180 sorta...it's weird...but it works and it lets me do the whole run without using the same foot on two sequential arrows. yep. oh and one last thing...do you think people that play flat-footed impress more than those that play on their toes? I mean some people use a mix of both, but generally when you play flat footed you use less energy and are more accurate...but do you look cooler? I guess to the players who know alot about the game, AAs and AAAs are more impressive...but then again, people that use their bodies more look better, even if they aren't as accurate. um sorry for rambling. maybe I'm really just asking if PA or freestlye impresses more...which is kind of a dumb question since they're each cool in their own way. *shuts up and presses the submit button

Well, my mom and all of her friends watched me play. That was when I played everyday for hours on end. I did DDR ex2 Maxx, and Breakdown, then I changed the game and did max 300.... All easy songs. If you know what you are doing. (In a part in max300 there is the easy place to do spins) I think If I really wanna impress someone I will do doubles on heavy and change from play sideways to backwards.

For DDR, doubles usually works (there are only 3 good Doubles players in my area (to my knowledge), and I'm one of them). Occasionally, I'll get a show going with a friend - we're hardcore PAers, so people see lots of Perfects when we play (even though we haven't AAAed much at the arcade

)...

For IIDX, playing anything with the volume effectors on usually works, since it makes the machine louder than everything else by at least 3 times.

I like to do random suff that I think would be funny to watch other people do like play TSUGARU on heavy with my legs locked...man my friends laughed at me for a long time... or playing dxy on my knees. i really don't know wat to do for a crowd, but the last time I did do something a dude comes up and started talking crap...I played him and he said it was the pad when I beat him the first two songs so I switch him and owned him with a AA to D

I like the leg-locked idea, although it would only generate a crowd for being bizarre. I can imagine what that would look like...a kind of wobbly penguin thing...I'm gonna do it sometime! mwaha.

On DDR if I feel like "showing off" a little to some random spectator who looks unfamiliar with the game, I'll do So Deep 1.5x Boost Flat. It's not much of anything, since I get about 40 greats on my best day

If I'm on the ITG2 machine instead, I'll do Monolith on hard--I tend to move a bit more than I need to for that (the steps are really fun for that, though). Alternatively for ITG I could do something that has some hands mixed in with fast stuff (Anubis expert) or even more hands (Queen of Light expert).

Playing a little doubles can work too... I've only done it on DDR, though, and the highest-rated song I can pass is Spin the Disc heavy (8... probably should be a 7). Not much to see there either.

yeah that's another thing that's showoffy...mods. there's a guy who goes to my arcade...he's gotta be 300 pounds...anyway he gets up there and plays bag 1x flat...it's pretty awesome. he says he never memorized it...he's just played the song enough to know how he's supposed to move. i'm just really impressed that he can read notes packed so closely together...it's insane.

Just doing heavy without even touching the bar impresses crowds (unless they're heavy players themselves)

But for crowd attracting, I like doing crossover songs.

I do spin jumps in the middle of Afronova on light. Or I'll play MAX 300 standard. And if I'm feeling really daring, I play So Deep or Burning Heat on Heavy.
