http://www.soundclick.com/bands/6/dyka_music.htm < First song in the list.
This is the third version of Symphony Unlimited, my remix/cover of MaxX Unlimited. A member of Bemanistyle helped me make the brass and strings sound better, as well as fitting in the new segment in the middle. Not sure if I did the middle exactly how he was describing, but I tried.
I made the following changes from version 2:
- Strings and brass have more release
- Trumpets and trombones are different
- Modified the very end
- Certain brass parts were removed or changed one octave
- Changed a set of chords in the middle to F
- Made a negligible change in the snare and timpani line just before the sad part
- Added the very end of The Symphony of Max to the middle of the song
- Removed 2 measures from the original song to make room for the new section.
- Added a piccolo to the build-up; 1 measure
- Changed the trombone in the build-up to a clarinet, then a piccolo
- Added a lower-pitched violin section to the epic part
- Took out the doublebass pizzicato from the Unlimited blips in the beginning
- Made the trumpet in the Unlimited beeps remain in one octave
I didn't post the second version on DDRFreak because I didn't think it was enough of a change. I scrapped the idea of improving every other song in the Project: SoM series, but this one always sounded like it was worth revising. I've got all three versions of the song on my computer. People here should notice more of a difference than BMS. |

Very inteesting Baka_Sai!!!!
I happen to be a music major and I like yourself, am studying to become a classical musician. I would like to talk to you some more, so that I can learn more about artform that we love so much. Again, well done!!!!

Actually, I'm not studying to be a music major. It'd be interesting, but I don't think I have enough musical talent to do well in that field (smyphonic/classical). I wish I had a better set of samples so the song could sound more real, but oh well...
I recall a user, 'ivan, I think, that wanted me to do a Paranoia remix. Reenee asked for Paranoia Survivor Max. Well, I might as well give the link to you all.

Are you referring to SringsX Unlimited?
If you are, that's a different song altogether. |

Baka_Sai, I'm pretty sure he's talking about this.
Anyway, I like your song. IMO, It's a little rough in the beginning, but it flows very well afterwards. Nice job. |

If you're talking about the very beginning with the snare and instruments, then that is there for a reason. One person told me it sounds too unrealistic for the players to be in sync that fast, so I added that little "warm-up" in so it sounded like the players were getting ready. The crash is for timing.
I would have used an actual intro if I was able to come up with one. |
