today i got my trio linker to use with my cobalt flux, and i plugged it in and everything freezes, as soon as i pull it out it unfreezes... what the hell? how do i fix this and how to i install this thing

I dont have a floppy disc drive so i cant use the floppy that came with it..

Ok i did that, it doesnt freeze anymore and the only thing on the floppy was a driver which i installed and i plug it in and it still doesnt recognize it and i dont see it in game controller, plz help im stuck

Go to the official trio linker site, it is on the back of teh package. There are drivers that you can download for it from the website. Once you download and install them, plug the CF into the adapter then the adapter into the computer. Then go to:

start>settings>control panel>printers and other hardware>game controllers>joypad to usb converter>properties

there you can map the pad and pick what kind of controller it is. after that you should be ok

Joypad to USB is not showing and everytime i plug it in it either freezes or shows up as usb not recognized or malfunctioned

Wow, sounds like you're kinda SOL. See if where ever you ordered it from has a return policy. The adapter sounds pretty FUBAR.

Well it turns out the one i was trying to get working is screwed up and the other one worked perfectly... now the return policy i must find
