Currently its:

And i want to change it to:

I don't think you can change that that. They take it from the MAX2 extra stage where the dark option is added. _________________

Make a course folder of one song length.
Rename it Extra1 (Nothing else)
Stick a copy of Extra1 (Each time cheack to see if it says it's called Extra1)
In EVERY Song-group folder.
You can do the same for Encore stage, the only difference is that you name the file Extra2.

so say for DDRex, i'd make a course with this text, and name it extra1.crs :
#SONG:Dance Dance Revolution 8th Mix -EXTREME-\The legend of MAX:MANIAC:1.5x, reverse, norecover;
and if i play that, it'd be like the arcade, and if i AA it, i'd get omes, (if i've made extra2.crs) ?
but what if i want to play, say, another song from 8th mix, and want it not to have dark? _________________

Yes.

Yes.

If you have a folder of 8th mixxes, just work it so it chooses randomly from that folder, and remove Dark. _________________

so, say something like:
#SONG:Dance Dance Revolution 8th Mix -EXTREME-\*:MANIAC:1.5x, reverse, norecover;
and then for the other series:
#SONG:Dance Dance Revolution 7th Mix - MAX 2-\*:MANIAC:1.5x, reverse, norecover; etc.
note that i want it to be like the arcade, e.g sometimes i play another song from 8th mix as extra, then if i want to go for omes, i'll play LoM next time. So will this still work? (even if i dont quit stepmania, and just press F1 to insert credit and play again)
edit:
nvm. was testing it just out, and i think just by putting in:
#SONG:Dance Dance Revolution 8th Mix -EXTREME-\The legend of MAX:MANIAC:1.5x, reverse, norecover; as extra1.crs
and
#SONG:Dance Dance Revolution 8th Mix -EXTREME-\DDR 8th Mix Extreme\Dance Dance Revolution:Challenge:3.0x, reverse, suddendeath; as extra2.crs
stepmania becomes like an arcade DDRex machine.
thanks a lot Jerry Tasslemen _________________
