I went to an arcade with my friends and that one had 8th mix, about two years ago. I got hooked, i had to of spent 10 dollars on that thing.

Since I didn't have a PS2 at the time and I couldn't go to the arcade every day I started going to a LAN game place called Crasty's total gamers. They had three DDR games and I played Max2 for an hour every time I went there.

For christmas I got a PS2 and the first thing I got was DDR Extreme.

So, yeah, started off in the arcade.

Started at home, although i was inspired by a guy at the arcade. I got RO ignition pads and DDRMAX2. I was just getting started in heavy when i went decided to play a game at the arcade. I was too scared to do anything but light mode because i wasnt used to the metal pad, and i had little sense of where my feet were because i had shoes on for the first time. blink.gif

also the machine ate my money. disgust.gif

I started at my friends house and on the ps2 at my middle school late 2003/early 2004. During the summer of 2004, I played mostly at the arcades. Fall-winter of 2004/2005, I hardly played at all, and if I did, it was just a quickie of stepmania on my computer. I finally got a ps2 and some home pads spring of 2005, and started playing at home mostly, but then the pads went to crap and I started playing at the arcade. Now I have a CF, and I play about equally at the arcade and at home.

I played one time on 3rd mix then ran home and ordered Konamix and a soft dance pad from Amazon.com. I was obsessed. By the time I learned 3rd mix and Konamix at home, they had changed the machine to a 7th Mix. ah well E13.gif

well, my friends were playing it because they had nothing else to do, but i didnt want to play it infront of them nd suck. So i waited until the mall was almost closed and all of my friends were gone. Thats when i started to get used to it. Now my friends make fun of me for playing it still. So yea, i started at an arcade.
