I've been trying to pass every nine and some of those kill me. Touch Me and On A Day Like Today with the weird rhythms are just...argh. Then there's Lemmings with the mines. I'm not fast enough. ;______;
Er, hardest EX 9 would prolly be Zodiac, I think, considering it was a ten once, and judging by the 32nd sections (particularly the jump-32-8-32 parts, that I'm not even sure how to do) and the streams with repeating arrows (L-R-L-L-R-L-R-R, etc.) similar to those in Anubis. |

I think you're referring to the part with a 1/4 jump, a 1/24 note, a 1/8 note (which is actually another 1/24), another 1/24, then 1/4 jump, then repeat? It's really just a matter of getting your feet tapping that fast. ITG also lets you lame jumps/triples/quads, in that the grade you get is determined by what timing window you were within when the last note was pressed. If you press L and R very quickly together, but not the same time, you can still get Excellent for that jump. Such a technique usually kills your FA, but can let you get through that section. That might be helpful by keeping you from becoming flat on the jumps, allowing you to stay ready for those 3 1/24 notes in a row. _________________

Pandemonium is hard. Vertex is not. Summer ~Speedy Mix~ is EASY and Vertex² is just ridiculous. Euphoria is the hardest 12 block on ITG1 by FAR, while Vertex is the easiest. Summer ~Speedy Mix~ shouldn't be a 13 as most of us who have passed it broke 80% on our first try. Some even sightread. Maybe I'd substitute Summer ~Speedy Mix~ for Bloodrush. And they are not "footers" 13 Block or 12 Block would suffice. _________________

Zodiac is my choice for hardest 9. That string in the middle of the song that gets the right foot going nuts is damn near impossible, even on a Flux.
As for On a Day Like Today... This is one of my favorite songs, right up there with I Like that Sound. Both have similar runs in the middle and ending. The only part that really gets me in ODLT are the hands after the run at the end. My legs just don't want to let me get back up again after squatting down. _________________

Zodiac shouldn't even be a 9. An 8 would suffice. It's just doesn't feel like a 9 should. It's too simple. The string in the middle is perfectly possible, definitly FAable by 98% of us and it's just much too easy of a 9. But who ever heard of an 8 block expert chart?
I've seen many a person struggle while playing On A Day Like Today and not much else so I would say that OADLT would IMO, be the hardest 9 block. Although there's prolly more that I'm just not thinking of that could compete with it..... _________________

Haha, VerTex^2 is quite difficult. Yet, I've watched my friend clear the whole game so everything else isn't.
I'm guessing that my friend will get down Summer on his first or second try. He will then most likely get VerTex^2 on his fourth or fifth try at most. _________________

LOL. I've passed Pandemonium countless times. Euphoria countless times. And I await Vertex² to be unlocked. None are impossible. Just hard. _________________

That's because "most of you who passed it" play 13s a lot. Summer is rated 13 because it has long sections of ~180bpm 16ths. Delirium is a 12 because is has a long section of ~155bpm 16ths. The rest of both songs are relatively easy, they just got the rating because the tough sections are a little too much to warrant a downgrade. _________________

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

Zodiac should DEFINITELY be a 9. Yeah its easy to FA once you know what going on, but to pass it's quite difficult. 8 footers don't have 16th note runs like that. Compare it to most 9s in the game and it seems about right in the middle. There are some that are easier (Bumblebee, No Princess), and some that are harder (Remember December, HOTN) _________________
