Would it be possible to edit the forum so that people could put links to their DDRecall profiles like we can put links to our AIMs and Xbox live names etc.

Can't you just put it in the "Website" bar, or perhaps in your signature?

Not everyone uses DDRecall. Some people use Over The Monkey, some people use NNR, and supporting all three would just be a mess.

Well, currently DDRecall seems to be the prominent ddr ranking site. I've never heard of Over the monkey in the nearly two years i've played. I heard NNR was big a few years back, but the admin of the site started having personal problems and such and it has been on and off since and a bunch of ppl turned to DDRecall.

So have a generic 'rating site' field.

AIM tag? Did you mean to point to the WWW tag?

It's pointing to the WWW button in my screen.

But yes, that is something you can use the WWW button for. Or your signature.

But didn't I say this already?

You've got an Xbox Live field. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but isn't anything DDR more relevant to a site about DDR than Live is? Hmm?

XBox Live features the Ultramix Series. A product related to the OFFICIAL versions of the game.
Not to demerit the score ranking sites, but, you know. Link to official ranking page > fan pages.

Yes, a generic "Site Rating Field" maybe. That's not something I can decide by myself though obviously.

Of course if you add a score tracker, people would ask you to add more than one incase they have more than one tracker. IE: Groovestats, VJ Army, Pop'n Navy, etc etc.

I say if you add a button for a score tracker, you should look into making it able to be multiplied. More than one entry will place more than one button with a limit of 2 or 3.

With those saying "add it to your signature" with the text limit that's been added on it, I had to remove most of my links that I used to have in my own signature because the urls would take up that much more space text wise in the box and not on the actual display of my signature itself.

Yes, but DDR score stats are the most relevant to DDRFreak.

Rychan's kinda right here - it's not so much a matter of us not wanting to do it, so much as it's a "If you give a mouse a cookie" problem.

Plus, the more of those buttons we have, the greater the possiblity that someone could use them all and force a horizontal scroll on a page for people running in 800x600 or (god forbid) 640x480. That's something we *definitely* don't want.

There are a few other ways to approach this problem that I've had in the back of my mind for a bit, but for the time being, I really don't think this is something we should do. It's a good idea, sure, but it has more problems than are visible on the surface.

Well, looking at your current signature, I would say that if you wanted to add links to the different tracker sites you would have to choose to drop either the image or the quote. If you know that you have a certain amount of space to use, then you have to decide which is more important to be in your signature: links to your tracker or some quote. Personally, I see nothing wrong with making my image smaller or removing some other bit of text to put in a tracker. But then, I would never put my tracker link in my sig.

www.tinyurl.com

Anyone remember when I had a sig with ~7 indavidual images, each of which was a link? Worked fine with Tinyurl.
