Got my free's. Unfreakingbelievable. When I got my CF pads I found that I had to put out alot more effort to move around the pads; which is odd given the increased sensitivity. Thing is that I played barefoot on my igntions; the shoes just seemed to weigh me down. No more. These things are awesome. Your foot is much more flexible. I can toe the arrows much easier. They weigh practically nothing. Now all I have to do is stitch some arrows onto them and I'll have the ultimate ddr shoes hands down. If you haven't tried on a pair then get off this board and head to your local footlocker. 'Nuf said.

I just thought of a response I should've put instead of my Sketchers:

Blisters.

I use New Balance.

I tried playing bare feet. ...the phrase 'I now know what child birth feels like' comes to mind.

Socks at home. Some people say it is like playing on ice, but that's the reason I like it. On really fast songs I can just slide onto the buttons.

I've only tried arcade once. I tried sandles and barefoot. Neither worked.

I think sandles will work next time though. I was just flustered when I first tried.

Soft Pads: socks or nothing
Hard Pads: Sandels or tennis shoes

Shoes you should NEVER EVER wear but for some reason I did because I went to da arcade when I didn't know we were going: Flip flops...

I play with my socks only. Playing with my everyday shoes makes me tired quickly.

When it comes to our home pads (crappy plastic ones), I play with socks or barefoot only. But, I rarely play those since I tend to rip them up with anything over a 4. riiight.gif

As for the arcade, I always play in my old, battered Nike sneakers. Sometimes, they catch on the pad as I play, which can be annoying, but it's nothing big. My sister has played in every sort of footwear imaginable, however, including barefoot and with flip-flops.

At home I always just wear socks, simply because im too lazy to put on shoes.

At the arcade I wear my Enties, they are a nice, loose shoe with a flat bottom for maximum arrow stomping biggrin.gif I think, really, any kind of skateboarding shoe works great for DDR, because you are giving them almost the exact same kind of abuse...

well thats my 2 cents worth....

At home, I'm usually barefoot or in cute, mismatched kneesocks. (I heard you wern't supposed to wear shoes on BeatPads. I could be wrong, though. *shrug*) *holds up n00b sign*

At the arcade, I'm wearing giant black leather combat boots. Those are the poopy.

At Home: Fuzzy ankle socks when it's warm, thick socks when it's cold to give me and extra bounce

Machine: White athletic shoes, lets me move quickly and feel the arrows pretty well, but they are unforgiving if I don't wear socks
