Moonlight Densetsu? Holy crap, how long has it been since I heard THAT one?!?!

(Sigh) So many memories...such a bad old screenname...
I agree, I haven't listened to that in a LONG time. But I did a involuntary hip thrust because of it, so it must be a good thing.... ;)
Holy Crap do I ever love that song. I'm tellen ya, Sailor Moon never gets old. If you didn't know, they have a live action version of the first season in Japan on T.V. right now! Sorry to be off the subject. I just hope that it's a good rendition of the song or I'll be pee-d off.

Live Action Sailor Moon = One of the worst programs I have ever seen in my life. Thank god that disaster of a program ended a while ago and we'll never hear another peep from it. If Naoko Takeuchi were dead, she would be doing cartwheels in her grave.

Moonlight Densetsu = I wouldn't be surprised at all if this was the cover that Sana recorded for Pop'n Music 12! Same goes for Cutie Honey, Pop'n Music 10 and DDR Festival both shared the exact same version of that song.

They Stole Mines From ITG = It's funny how someone actually went there with that. Get over it.

I must admit, when it said
Missing steps or hitting bombs will result in
losing stars.
If you lose all your Stars the game is over.

I was like disturb.gif
and I saw the word bombs and "mines" from ITG echoed from it
I must admit its probably not as hard as a 8+ from ITG which usually they have the mines...but remind you its a kids game.

Well, ITG stole DDR from DDR, so I think they're even.

Yeah, I heard that the live action Sailor Moon sucked as well. I was just saying that Sailor Moon is still popular enough that they still TRY and make more cool things from it.

Well, I just hope that the version of M.D. isn't really crappy. That's all I ask for. As a matter of fact, I hope none of the songs are crappy.

It really depends on your point of view. I think it's perfectly fine. The fight scenes are nothing but gymnastics competitions and are poorly choreographed, but the story is pretty good.

Anyway, SM discussion should go in Random Chat kthxbai.

I need to see a video of somebody playing... 5 lives for a "childs" game is a little too hard, unless there are like 20 steps per song.

Don't forget - DDR stole freeze arrows from Dance With Intensity. sarc.gif

ITG tecnically didn't invent mines, either. ITG just made them popular.

Was that more info than we needed?

I'm not really for or against this game, although the three wide buttons are really unique. I don't think you can make much of a challenge out of it(well, that's probably why it's a kids game E1.gif ).

Everyday At The Bus Stop, eh?
It screams grammatical error to me, but maybe that's just me E15.gif.

English lesson time kids! Everyday as one word means ordinary. "Everyday people." Every day as two words means.. Every day. "I eat every day at the bus stop".
Apologies in advance for any off topicness, offsiveness, and/or boringness.

As for the game, it does look interesting. I wonder what the peak of it's level of challenge will be?

Because, some kids can just plain rock.
I also agree that Konami should do something before Roxor takes over.

Pretty Guardian Sailormoon was extremely awesome and became very popular among sailormoon and non-sailormoon fans alike. The story was completely new to the series. How anyone could not like it, i don't know.

Japanese lesson time kids!

Mainichi (every day) is used to indicate both meanings of the word. In conversation it's used with a timing context ("Every day I take out the trash"), but it's also used in the (har) everyday life of Japan. Quite a few newspapers and magazines use mainichi in their titles.

So, yeah, it makes more sense in English as "Every day", but from a translation standpoint, it's accurate, so I can see where the confusion would arise.

And that is why the demand was SO high to keep it going after the show crashed and burned after 40-something unwatchable episodes. They had at least four other story arcs to adapt into a live action series... I wonder why they never did it, if the show was so smoking hot and all. Let's face it, the ratings weren't all that hot. It certainly wasn't pulling in the anime series numbers. The merchindise wasn't exactly flying off the shelves. If all the factors for this show were there, then you better believe we'd be knee-deep in a badly adapted Death Busters story arc right about now.

Clearly. Naoko Takeuchi has written her fair share of tripe, but that live action series... which she clearly didn't write any part of. (She even said so in her journal, that the show was exciting to watch because she didn't know what was going to happen next. Which probably shows how much she was directly involved in the live action adaptation to begin with) Well... you can't blame the woman for beating the corpse of her dead series... she could be strapped for cash trying to support that husband of hers who can barely even put anything out on deadline anymore... oh and their kid too.

Let me count the ways...

Bad plot, bad writing, bad acting, bad characterizations (Sailor Mars and Queen Beryl were the biggest offenders. I could write a long list of what they did wrong with Rei, but I'll save that for another time. Queen Beryl was reduced to a weeping willow woman who practically begged Mamoru to be by her side. I remember a time when she said 'B*tch please!' and just TOOK her man from Sailor Moon. A waste of a great actress who really looked the part.) unlikeable actors (The guy who played Mamoru and Ayaka Komatsu, Sailor Venus, were the biggest offenders. You must be a vile human being if you can make Minako look bad. No further comment on the Mamoru actor. Blech!)

Hey, I tried to like the show, I really did, but it quickly lost it's charm by episode 15. (Especially when Sailor Venus was turning out to be a huge b*tch, making Sailor Mars who previously the huge unlikeable b*tch, a much more likeable character! And you really didn't even give half a crap if Usagi got with Mamoru because he was so freaking unlikeable.) Thank god that the show is over, and the Sailormoon fans (and I'm not even a hardcore fan, I just remember the series quite fondly from my teenage years) can forget that the live action series ever happened... (Just like how some Star Trek Voyager fans forget the last season of that show!)

But hey... some people will just take anything I guess. nerd.gif

I want to play this game!! E4.gif

Sorry, UG, but I had to bonk you for that. If you guys wanna discuss PGSM more than 86.4, then go make a RC topic for it and post there. I've already directed you guys to take it elsewhere twice.
