Well, My gamespot softpad (After 1 YEAR!) finally died, which gives me a perfect excuse to get a cobalt flux. And my dad already agreed. I just have a question, How long do they take to ship.

While it's shipping, I'm getting another softpad to play on.

Their site right now says they are shipping pads within 24-36 hours of ordering, which sure beats the three weeks I had to wait when I bought mine. After that, it's just a matter of how close you to are Utah. If you're on the east coast, expect another 6-7 days on top of the initial shipping time for the pad to get to you via FedEx ground.

I just got my arcade mod. Love it.

I was going to get an afterburner as a second pad, but now I'm going to go with another CF with arcade mod.

It's a modification kit sold by Cobalt Flux that you install. It's just panels and a couple of screws that you "tack" on to the top of your pad.

The mod makes it so it's like the arcade. -_- The arrows are then recessed just like the arcade.

I got the clear mod with the type 2 brackets. They look very sexy.

The type one brackets looked really bad to me. The type 2s curl down and touch the surface of the recessed pad and looks very good.

The only issue that I might have is that it is not quite as recessed as the arcade (I think the black mod is though), but it still works well.

If you're going to get it, make sure the pads are oriented properly, or you'll get a sticking sound whenever you step on the raised pads.

i like the sticking sound of the pads because it helps me keep the sense of beat =)

I've had my CF about 6months it tooks them about 8days to ship its (7 of the days were getting it built and awaiting shipment) but i live in california so thats why it only took them 1day to drive it over here.

I like it, it's much better than the flat CF, not quite the same recessing as the arcade, but a great step in the right direction.
