Ookay, I'm using a homemade Xbox>PC adapter cable. It's a lot like this, but it's straight to USB. I can use my Xbox pad my PC for SM, but I'd like to use my "A" and "B" buttons as the up-right and up-left buttons for solo mode. The problem? The PC only recognizes my up, down, left, and right arrows, and the start and back buttons. I'm looking for a driver that supports the A and B buttons. Thanks.

With XBCD you can use the control pad (the arrow on the controller) as normal button. Normaly, A-B are supposed to be recognized by the XBCD program. If this don't work, try to install Stepmania on your xbox...

Which driver do you use, the normal one or the one specially made for DDR?

If you use the DDR one, that could be the Problem.
Try to install the normal driver, and don't forget to map the axes to buttons!

What dance pad are you using? I had the same exact problem with a Mad Catz Beat Pad about two years ago. (same situation - xbox to usb)

On some dance pads, the A, B, Y, and X buttons don't work on USB - dont ask me why, I haven't looked into it that much. I reccommend upgrading to a better dance pad if you want those buttons to work.

I'm also having a problem with xbox to PC. I have a Cobalt Flux, and use a homemade cbox to connect it to my xbox (i accidently broke the path on the circuit board for my down arrow so i wried it to B i beleive it was). When i play stepmaniaX on my xobx everything works falwalessly, but when i play on stepmania on my PC using my homemade xbox-USB converter (i just cut open a USB cord and xbox exntension cord and attached the corresponding colours) my down arrow refuses to work, while the other arrows operate just fine, Any suggestions as to whats at fault or how to fis it?
