I am using NTPad XP 2.1 to configure my parallel port dance pads. There is no adapter for these pads, the end of their cord is naturally a parallel plug. Anyways, I have used one pad for a long time now and I have no problem. I recently bought a parallel card to use my second pad but the card's I/O range is Cx400-Cx408 and NTPad doesnt understand this. It wants standard ports such as 0x378(for LPT1) or 0x278(for LPT2). I can tell my parallel card to be named LPT2 but it wont respond to 0x278. Basically, what I need is either to allow NTPad to understand Cx400 or to tell my parallel card to be port 0x278.

I know this is more of a tech question but I have tried several tech sites with no answer. I was hoping someone here ran into this problem.

OK! if your a tech genious you could take apart the 2nd pads LPT connector and solder it into the 1st pads connectors using the Direct Pad Pro setup. However, your probably better off resoldering on a PS1/2 Controler connector and using a USB adapter. they behave much nicer in Windows XP
