I don't remember ever seeing people's homes put in the machine locations. But, I saw this ddr machine in the locations page.
Just a heads up to the mods. I doubt this is a valid location, right?

twanss house is also in the locations page
he charges 10 bucks a head and is by apointment only
its a real machine and is open to the public so as long as its a machine you can play on it should be allowed just think of it as a mom and pop arcade _________________

I always thought that that wasn't allowed though. _________________

well the last time I ready the faq on it (years ago) it only said that non machine and non public play machines were DQed from the list
and really
if its a machine that you can come an dplay for either free or for money it should be allowed as its essencily a arcade just without D&B or tilt or namco names on it _________________

If someone opens up their house to the public is one thing.
You shouldn't put someones house on the list simply because there's no set hours of operation. I doubt any of the people who have machines are 100% comfortable with ANYONE just coming into their house and playing their video games. If you're gonna put a person's home address on the machines list, they'd better have converted their home into a video arcade open to the public.
Having a machine and letting people use it != having an arcade. |

Just because a place has arcade machines, doesn't mean it's an arcade. There's a bakery in Queens, NY with a MvC2 machine. It's certainly not an arcade, but it has a machine. Same goes for a record store with a PIU in the back, I've been there too. _________________

The section is called "Machine Locations," not "Locations of Arcades that have DDR Machines." As long as the owner of the machine lets the public play, it should be fine. _________________

Maybe there should be a checkbox when you enter in a new location that says "Private Residence". If the box is checked, then only the city and state would be visible and users would be referred to a PM/E-mail link to contact the owner for the parameters of public use. _________________

If they want to post their phone number, that's their business. It's optional. And unless there's some rash of vandalism of people voluntarily posting their addresses online (THE HORROR!), I think it's a risk they're willing to take. |

I was under the assumption that it was other people putting the info up. If someone wants to put their house up as a location, who cares? |
