Hey.. new to the forum, so don't bite my head off...
But does anyone have any recommendation on the decision to buy either DDRMax or DDRMax2? Which is better?
I don't really want to go buy both right now... seeing as I just bought ITG and my Afterburner is on the way... I think enough $$ has been spent on DDR in the past week.
Advice? |

Look at the songlists (see top of page under ad banner) and decide for yourself. |

If you're a beginner, I'd recommend Max2 because of beginner mode. If you've been playing DDR for a while, I like Max's songlist better, though. But yeah, look at the songlists and decide for yourself. |

Just to tell you, I think this belongs in console games. The mods might lock it, so be warned.
Max2 has more songs that are in the arcades, as well as more beginner songs. Max has tons of exclusives that I haven't seen on any other game. _________________

I wasn't trying to point out modes. I just wanted to prove the fact that max2 is easier for beginners. _________________

Accually if you want an easy game you should get DDR Extreme. |

DDR extreme definitely seems well suited for starters, but to answer your question, MAX2. |

Both.
Max has Oni mode.
Max2 has a better song selection. _________________

Well, just to let you guys know, I'm not a beginner (and I'm a chick)... the reason I'm asking is because I've pretty much exhausted Extreme's resources and am kind of bored. I consistently play at the Heavy/Challenge level...
And I've looked at the songlists... and there isn't much crossover to the arcade in any of the mixes.
And finally, sorry if your upset that you think I'm posting in the wrong section.. I've read you guys' boards for months and have been afraid to post cuz yall can be so nasty!
But anyway. Thanks for advice... wonder if it changes knowing that I'm not a beginner? |

It doesn't but if you want an on topic opinion I'd say MAX for the songlist. To be honest with you I wasn't trying to be rude and if I was I apoligize. |

This is solely my preference, but here it goes.
MAX has 28 songs I regularly play, including 9 Catastrophics.
MAX2 has 31 songs I regularly play, including 6 Catastrophics.
On MAX2, there are some songs that aren't my favorites, but don't mind listening to/playing once in a while. MAX has more songs that I would never play at all except to fill in one more AA. On the flipside, I don't get excited over most of MAX2's "good songs" as I do for MAX's. _________________

Personally I like Nonstop Mode a lot, so I'd go with Max II (I also like the Oni mixes available). You could just pick one now; you can always get the other later. |

Toughie. Personally I like MAX's song selection better, but I could not survive without Endless mode as offered in MAX2.
But for a DDR virgin, I'd still recommend Extreme over either. |

No I think Max has 10 catas and 1 10 footer (max 300). Max2 also has 10 catas songs and 1 10 footer (maxx unlimited), but the 10 footer is a lot tougher in Max2 than in Max. _________________
