I have been a member here for a while, just never posted too much. But on to the questions...
I'm looking to buy a metal pad, preferably one with a bar. I have seen the TX-2000 has a bar, and is in my price range. My question is, do you really need a bar to pay the more difficult songs? I want to get as close to the arcade look/experience as possible. I'm not the best player, but I have been playing the home versions since Christmas and I have only been to the arcade a few times. I can pretty much A-AA anything on Standard (with the exceptions of the Maxx: Unlimited and LOM), and now I'm working on Heavy songs, and I can do some of them, but not all of them.
And Secondly, since I have been hearing some people saying that they're crap and some people saying that they're good, does anyone know of any mods to put a bar on the back on, say a CF pad?
Thanks! _________________

CFs have an arcade mod kit out; but it doesn't include the bar. European TX models are the ones that are excellent. The knock offs in america are the ones people complain about. If you can find one from a European company willing to ship to the states and willing to pay about $500 because of shipping and customs; go for it. _________________

As for paying 500 for shipping, I think not. I dont have that much money.
Sam (or anyone else) can you go into more detail about a bar and how much it helps? _________________

I have two Cobaltfluxes. I also am going for the arcade look/feel, I want everythign perfect. What I'm doidn is I'm modding it myself to the exact measurments as the arcade. I'm adding a frame, which includes the back space for a bar. then I'm gunno buy the bars. add them on, and have it look exactly like the arcade. I'm even adding the brackets and everything. Cobalt fluxes are the way to go. TXes are kinda bad :-/ pluse a lot of stuff on them breaks aka button surface and wire connections and cbox. I dunno, maybe you should do what I'm doing? Or buy an afterburner and build on only the bar part? |
