Here's a question I decided to bring up again:
What can/should be changed, and what will you expect in DDR?
For example, in DDR Max, they don't have dark step areas.
In DDR Extreme, there's no groove radar, and the extra stage is either gone, or somethin special about it.
The company should've of worried about at least making original arcade style first, instead of adding small things (like party mode and what not).
Also, what can you expect in the future, better songs, more songs, more improvements?
Discuss.

Well, for the groove meter, it should be easier to read it. & They need to bring the arcade hits to home systems, like a Konamix 2 or the Extreme 2 they're making right now. & I liked it how in Extreme for PS2 they already have it organized instead of the normal wierd no-reason order they usually do. & Once again, we can expect Eyetoy, Nonstop, maybe Oni, possibly Mission, & 50/50 Party for Extreme 2. & Once again, they're be licensed songs that'll be new to DDR & popular old songs returning. |

I'd like to see a new arcade version <.<
like.. MAX3 or something.
It would have solo mode, doubles, Oni, Nonstop...
Some songs from DM Ashura would be nice <.< _________________

Well, considering that you can only put so many songs and stepcharts on a disc, I would say they should eliminate beginner mode, workout mode, party mode, characters, and just make light something like standard with little on, where you can't play more than two jumps in a row...
I think we should get NEWER songs to home versions, songs that are available only at the arcade, and more songs from other Bemani games.
Nonstop, Oni, Endless, and Mission Modes should stay on. They should add back the groove radar and put numbers on it...
More options would be cool. Like 0.5x, Hidden+Sudden, Boomerang, etc.
BTW - There is an Extra Stage on DDR Extreme US. All you have to do is AA any Heavy song with a difficulty rating of 8 or higher as your final stage. |

With every new Playstation release, the console series has become more and more mainstream and less arcade oriented to suit people who play solely on console. While I think it has its benefits, it doesn't personally appeal to me, and although I wish they could acquire some cool arcade licenses, sometimes it's just not feasible. Still some of the console exclusives from the newer games like UM2 and Extreme have surprised me a bit. |

I'd like to see more new Konami Original songs for the Ultramix games instead of Konami taking buckets of songs from Beatmania IIDX and giving them only to the Ultramix games. Or better yet, just stop taking so many of them. _________________

A lot of the IIDX music is Konami originals.
IIDX songs are UM's saving grace. Maybe not some of the stepfiles, but the songs itself... mmm. |

To play the extra stage in DDR Extreme US you must AA any Heavy song 8 feet or higher. Which means you must FC any Heavy 8 footer or higher. So gay. Not even worth the effort. _________________

I like having those IIDX songs on there, but the PS2 releases should have all the Konami originals from Ultramix/Ultramix 2 and stuff. Hear there's a couple of 10's that could be nice. |

I've always wanted to see a Character Creation Mode on DDR much like the kind they have in Amplitude.
You'd start off with only basic body parts and simple pre-made characters (possibly the currently existing DDR characters), and as you beat more songs on harder difficulties, you could unlock more clothes, faces, parts, and accessories for your character. So by the time you unlock everything, you could make a tuxedo-clad, half-robot, half-demon as your character, provided you're into that sort of thing. _________________
