Just a quick question. Was it really specifically Roxor that handled porting ITG to PS2? I could have sworn they outsourced the process to another programming company/team.

Perusing the credits, the only technical people I see credited are at RoXoR (under Programming), RedOctane (under QA), and the Stepmania people. Since no group is specificially credited with anything Playstation-related, I'd have to say that this was an inside job (the butler did it!).

RedOctane did it. I was at the launch party talking to various employees.

i'm not sure if any of you guys care or find it helpful but in the arcade version the purple arrows(1/32?) are now replaced with yellowish arrows on the ITG console version. i found it real annoying and confusing on "Do You Love Me". i wasn't sure if it was on the likes of "Kagami" though.

ITG home version boasts ITG2's note coloring scheme.

The new colors are more accurate about timing.

In ItG1 arcade, onbeat is read, 1/8ths are blue, 1/16ths are green, and EVERYTHING ELSE is purple... except for 1/64ths which, for some reason, are also green.

In ItG1 console and ItG2 arcade, triplets are purple, 1/32nds are yellow-orange, and 1/64ths are a sort of cyan color. It makes things a lot easier to distinguish when you're working with really complex rhythms.

I'm surprised that nobody has made a stink about this yet:

The home version skips, just like the arcade does.

And it's not just me, others have noticed it too.

Censorship of the songs.

My beloved PA theme isn't even playable anymore.

It skipped once or twice for me but playing for four/five hours straight could have something to do with that. :X

Oh god, they really went to town on that one. It's playable, as in they kept the beat going, but don't try and listen to the lyrics -_-.

You can thank Konami for that.

Supposedly they have a patent on Edit Mode for home consoles.
I have a great inclination to start handing out warning points for people who propagate the stupidest rumors in the world, such as this one.

It'd certainly make me feel better the next time I read some idiot posting about how Konami settled the PIU lawsuit by agreeing to leave the marketplace. >.>

Konami does indeed have a patent on Edit Mode. I've been told that Roxor is attempting to work around the patent for ITG2.
