PSXchange is a PS1 boot disc. You will need a PS2 boot disc, such as Swap Magic, and the accompanying replacement fliptop lid.

It's definitely tons of fun, but pretty hard to get started at first. Just don't give in and turn on auto-bass, or you'll just end up screwed in the long run.

Create a directory in the DTXMania directory, and name it "DTXFiles". Then you can just put the folder of a simfile into DTXFiles. The options in the menus are mostly in English, so you should be able to wing it from there. Just turn off the 9-lane mode, and set BGAlpha to 0 to keep the weird background images from mucking up the lanes.

After you get it all set up, it works remarkably well. Even my old PII 450 that I keep sitting around for this kind of crap can run it with no problems.

I got just the first Guitar Freaks for PSone. I use a japanese action replay, a spring, and another disk to boot it up. I boot it up with another game and then change the disks. Now when I do this with Guitar Freaks, it starts up and has a loading screen. Then it brings me to a screen with a red circle with a cross through it and japanese letters. Did I just waste $60, because Konami are assholes?

You use a japanese action replay? So you use a japanese PS1?

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

Wait..Actually I don't think it is a japanese action replay. It is just an old action replay that you put in the back on the PS.

One of our arcades here in MI just got DM10 and GF11, and we cant get the lyrics to be sung on Session mode. All it does is play the Guitar on GF and the drums on DM, no backup music. we couldnt find the options in the setup to change it. Anyone no what the problem is, and how to fix it. because its pretty boring without it.

Thanks in advance.

It's probably just hooked up wrong. Check that the output audio cables on the session hub are hooked to the audio input jacks on the backs of the machines. Also check the Session Volume setting that should be hiding somewhere in the game options (probably only on Drummania). Then check the line in volume knob on the back of the Drummania cabinet. After you've messed with all that, you'll probably be all set.

Cool! Another person from here that actually goes to AFCTroy besides me! Seems quite odd that nothing except the two game instruments are heard during Session mode play, yet they're fine separately. I would have to say that it's probably a cable too. Then again, I don't know too much about arcade machines...

Also, I accidentally discovered that there are long version songs on this mix. Stupidily enough, I htough that the "2" next to the title of a song meant that it was a session song or something. I must be stupid. Finally, I hate the pink interface. Eww!

I usually play 9th mix over in the Willowbrook Mall, here, but recently my home arcade got 10th mix...I was really excited until I got there and the snare drum is TERRIBLE. I mean I'm finally completely on Advanced mode, my hands are callused to hell, and the snare doesn't work...any idea on how much it/s gonna take to replace?

Someone finally full-comboed Used to Rock'N'Roll Extreme.

Why are there a lot of submitted scores with Dark?

Well, there used to be GDAmania (http://www.homei.cc/gdamania but now it's gone... bemanistyle have mostly fanmade DTX (none of the official ones)

Good thing I still have some of the old ones. One of my favorite, however, is from DM10: the Akai Suzu. In fact, any song from Asaki is cool.

well i posted this as a new topic but i guess i wasn't supposed to, so i'll post it in here, it's just basically a copy paste of my post

hey peeps, i'm new here and i just started playing drummania 2 days ago. there's this song from the game and i just can't figure out the name of it and the artist. ill give a description of the song, hopefully somebody will be able to help me.

percussion freaks 9th edition
btm:17? 18?

video: there's a girl with headphones. on her headphones there are 2 big stars, one on each side of her huge headphones. the video is pretty non sensical but anyways during the video, there is a part where she is playing the guitar. the picture that shows in the choose song screen is the same girl with headphones staring at the blue sky. the name of the song is in japanese unfortunately but i know one word from the title, which is kanji for "sky". i've had a pretty hard time finding the song so any help would be appreciated, thx in advance
