I've come across a very strange problem with my DDR Extreme, involving the letter grades you receive at the end of the song. The problem is, it always gives me a lower grade than that which I deserve.

I completed "A" on Heavy with nothing but Perfects and a few Greats, and I got a B score, when rightfully I should have got an AA.

Does anyone know what's going on, and how I can fix this? It's not fair. E2.gif

Are you playing on Extreme U.S. or are you playing on the Extreme machine? I'm assuming at home. How many Perfects and Greats did you get? Exactaly. If you full combo'd it but got more greats than perfects, then you wouold probablly get a B.

If you completed A on heavy with nothing but perfect and a few greats and got a B, you're lying. You must have had alot of greats. It's possible to FC a song and only get a B if you get too many greats.

I'm not lying, it's definitely a technical issue with the game. I know how many Perfects as opposed to Greats it takes to get an A or AA, so don't insult my intelligence.

Has anyone else had this issue? I'm sure if you have you can take me seriously.

Please. E2.gif

Tell us how many perfects and greats you got, and we might figure something out.

It's one of 5 things:

1) You got a lot of misses you didn't notice
2) You're lying
3) You have Little on and the game is computing scores via the full # of dance points
4) You have Freezes off and the game is computing scores via the full # of dance points
5) You're in Training Mode and you've changed the start and stop measures so that you're not playing the full song.

This is what the real question is. Unless we find out how many perfects and greats you got, there is no way to determine it. I remember that i felt that same way, but then i noticed that the reason why i didn't AA something (regardless that i only got greats and perfects) is because of the amount of greats i got.

So, if you can tell us that, then we might be able to help you nerd.gif

That's the only thing I can think of, otherwise you're not telling the whole truth.

Yea, it really is. I was playing at my friends house one time and was warming up with Drop Out Standard, and I had like 24 greats and 1 good. It gave me a B. I was like wtf! Thats it.

I've had little get set by accident. I had to reboot the ps2 to get little to turn off, because even doing a FC I was getting C's with little on.

Don't know if that's your problem, but I noticed right away that the steps weren't the same steps they should have been.

I've also noticed the scoring in DDR MAX! is much more brutal than the scoring in Ultramix2.

Yea, UM2 is so screwed up! It gives you perfects SO EASILY! One time I did Love ♥ Shine, and forgot to step like the last 6 arrows (for some odd reason, I think I was sick) and it still gave me a AA. And I had like 50 greats.

I made a heart!

The problem sort of fixed itself, I don't know how. Thanks for all your tips, though.

Ummm... I encountered that also...

I suppose to have a double A but I got B... I realized, I turned off freeze arrows... laugh.gif You have to include freeze arrows to get your "RIGHT" score..
