Monday, my up arrow on my afterburner died. Dead as a doornail. RedOctane won't send me a new box until next week. So I switched to a crappy konami pad and kept on dancing....

Today, my xbox won't boot. The hard drive groans and clicks but all it says is "call xbox customer support" in 5 languages.

I have come to the conclusion that God really, really, does not want me to play DDR.

*mourn my precious xbox... and all my 11 xbox live! songpacks... and my ultramix2 scores.... and my ultramix 1 scores.... and my brand new Grand Theft Auto 4 game that I only got to play for TWO DAYS....*

One time all in the same week I lost the power cord to my xbox, both of my pads stopped registering, and the heel of my shoe poped off of the sole so I couldnt dance in them.

God wants you to do your homework, instead of stomping on arrows.

God wants you to buy DDR Mario Mix when it comes out.

God also wants you to start playing in arcades.

Now that's the answer! Or just get a PS2 and a CF.

God sometimes tests people. Perhaps you are being tested. So, stay faithful, get your X-Box working, and perhaps great riches (or more likely a really good night or two of DDR) are coming your way.

Good point! After all, it is summer. Go biking. A LOT! Or climbing. Or Hiking. At any rate, go out and do something. DDR will be waiting for you in some form in the winter when you need it most.

Well, my xbox is off to Kentucky to be repaired. My xbox is 4 years old, so it's wayyyy out of warranty. It's costing me 95$ to have them do a hard drive transplant. ouch. It's also going to take two weeks to come back to me. And I'm loosing all my hard drive data (all my DDR scores, etc). But what's a girl gotta do? I adore my xbox, so I have no choice but to pay up.

Unfortunately, I hadn't budgeted for this 95$ expense... So now I can't afford to buy In The Groove next paycheck like I had planned. Gah. Well, it wouldn't make much sense to play a hard game like that without my afterburner working anyway...

I do own a ps2. E1.gif I only have DDR max for the ps2... but hey, last night I managed to B Orion .78 civilization mix using a really beat up ignition pad, so maybe that was a kudo.

I actually have never played in the arcades... so no making fun of noobs for me... and I'm 27, so no homework either. E1.gif I'm a bit shy about playing DDR in public as I'm only a standard level player.

I'm in much better spirits about it today, last night, I just had to scream. 4 months of Ultramix2 scores down the drain, and I had JUST bought songpack 11 the night before and was itching to work on that a bit.

Ahh well. Some days... you wonder why you bothered to get out of bed E1.gif
