How do you all do it? I mean how long of playing one song on heavy does it take? I would love to do some freestyle but when I watch other people I never see them look at the screen so I was wondering what's the easiest way for you all to memorize songs.

We use the search feature to our advantage.

I understand that you are new to DDRfreak.com and congratulations biggrin.gif . Try using the "Search" option at the top left of your screen. See if that thread was already created. In fact, here's a thread you could post in that pertains to what you are looking for E13.gif

Good luck! E13.gif

I've not yet completely memorized any song, but aside from the obvious "practice it until your eyeballs fall out," here's what I would do. I would try to play the song with no mods other than Hidden or Sudden. I'd be partial to Hidden, since it forces memory a little more than Sudden, which seems to focus on more reflex than memory. Once your memory is better, you might try stealthing songs on Training mode, since you can then see for certain where you mess up. After a while, you should have a song memorized. (Although, if you want to freestyle, FSing an easy song would be fine in my book, so long as the routine looked good. I'd rather see a slick FS routine on Basic than a mediocre one on Maniac.)

Hmm, Phrek found 12 threads on Stealth/Memorization in the same forum (Gameplay, right?). Being there are 12 or so in General, and you've been directed there, there isn't really a need for this thread.
