Does anyone know the words to Matsuri Japan. I noticed while watching the movie Pompoko that there is a song sung that is the same as the one in Matsuri Japan. I'm guessing it's some sort of traditional Japanese song, but that's as far as it goes. In the movie, it comes right after the elder tells the tanuki to celebrate after the big spirit parade. At any rate, I'd like to know what they're singing in Japanese, and what it means, etc. Thanks in advance.

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

i havent done that song in a long time so i would know. but the words are in japanese i know that much. and if someone did figure out what they were saying, it might be too hard to figure out how it is spelled in english characters. And if they went to a translator you have to input katana (sp?) into the translator box for it to work since its a text translator. so i think it would be hard unless you are really fluent in japanese.

Sa-sa Eraiyacha eraiyacha yoi yoi yoi yoi
Washoi washoi

Not much of meaning.
Sa-sa will be like Let’s go
Eraiycha – little like OMG
Yoi yoi will be something similar to hey hey
Washoi is something Japanese say when you pick something heavy.

Matsuri Japan is created from several different Japanese Summer festival sounds.
Sa-sa Eraiyacha eraiyacha yoi yoi yoi yoi will be from Awa odori which is somewhat famous for dancing fool festival.
Washoi sound is from Mikoshi festival which you carry mini shrine through the street people saying Washoi washoi.

Hope this made sense.

I couldn't find anything but that the normal way to write this song is with the kanji for "matsuri", which a generic word meaning "festival". Sorry...

Actually you were right. It will be very difficult for people never lived in Japan to figure it out. I am Japanese born and raised E1.gif
