Well, the BEST way to play DDR is with your hands-- it trains muscle AND magically gives you break dancing skills- caucasion or not!

I dont really do anything with my hands i put them by my side and dont move them when i am playing sometimes an arm might move but yea...

Depends.... On ez songs I hit the pad with them haha but on hard songs i just keep them at my side but never touch the bar

mostly they hang lifeless at my sides...barely move at all unless i start having alot of trouble with a hard song for me..so deep would be a good example then they go crazy...you can usally even tell if im going to fail a song by how much my arms move..except for songs like afronova with the multiple jumps..then my arms go out like a balance so i can balance better..

I let my arms flail about wheresoever they wish to go (with no regard to whomever might be standing nearby). When I'm doing fast runs (think Drop Out Maniac at the end, or ska a go go Maniac's last run), I hold my arms straight out, in a Boston College-esque "swoop" (I look like a big, ugly bird swooping down on prey, if you don't know the BC swoop). I have absolutely no idea why I swoop; I also do it every time I jump. Sometimes I take a couple pages from ITG's playbook, and actually use my hands for no good reason (like in R3 Maniac, the part in the middle that's just UDUD, LRLR, etc.--I pretend there's a double-freeze arrow on the arrows not being used, and use my hands to hit the "real" arrows.). People look on and laugh immensely.
