Ok, I download a file that has a song, a banner, the .sm file. Now where do I put it to work in SM?

I have both DDR and PIU songs (groups, really) in my Songs folder. Is there any way to tell StepMania to only show the PIU songs when I select Pump and the DDR songs when I select Dance?

I have a Intec dance pad and a no name Adapter they work fine with SM but DWI won't pick up the arrow s it will pick up X,O,square, Triangle but no arrows and on SM it won't register airs PLEASE HELP!!!

When I go into the edit/synch option to edit one of my songs, I go to one of the menus and all of the options are greyed out. How can I change it so that ALL of the options are able to be used?

i have stepmania 3.9 rc3 and a super dual box adapter for my ro ignition soft pad. i ran stepmania yesterday and everything worked smoothly.

but today after i reconfigured them, it wouldn't register when i jumped on the left/right simultaneously, and sometimes the up/down, but not much. other combos were fine.
and if i hit my right arrow in a close enough time span, the down won't work afterward. and vice versa.

er. nevermind. anyone else with this problem, make sure to go into pad mode when stepmania is starting up. hold start+select+up.

oops. heh.

errr. new problem.

i accidentally set stepmania to free play mode, and now i can't view the main menu. help?

I know this is off topic from the last reply, but I have the newest version of stepmania, and it lags while playing. I went to the website and followed their instructions and it didn't help. Someones gotta know what to do!

When I go into StepMania I just see black, but I still hear the music. It happened right after I tried plugging my flux into my computer for the first time, but I don't think that had anything to do with it. *shrug*

Well this isnt really my problem, but its my friends problem:

Ok my friend just downloaded SM and installed it. When he tried to run it, he had a million "Graphic Missing" signs. He tried to just ignore them and go on and it just got an error and shut down the program.

Later, he tried reinstalling it and he still had the same problem. After that, he downloaded it from a different mirror and still had the same problem.

Oh, by the way, he uses Mac

One ? for now: Do you have to download something to play the sims, or is it software you buy or what. Or do you just download and play?

However, can I EASILY play on it with a Windows 98 that's slower than CR@P?

Edit2: My videocard is too small so I moved it to a different computer. What's the minimum requirement for videocards, because I have a 6.13 Intec, and it says "Please check PC Display settings" on every screen.

Whenever I play SM in full screen mode it freezes for a few seconds, then keeps going. Sometimes the color changes on the screen to just a bunch of random colors. Anyone else having this problem?

Whenever I install RC3, when I try to run it, I get the same error.

The dynamic link library MSVCP71.dll could not be found in the specified path.

Never mind, I found the .dll for download.

Go into Options (or Settings or Preferences or whatever it was that the default theme calls it) and then go into Graphic Options. The very first option you should see on that screen is something like Display Mode, where you can choose either Full Screen or Windowed.
