Okay, I'm 14, 5'6'' and 150lbs. I don't look fat, but I confess that I have 'moobs'. I play DDR at least one session a day. I really need to lose weight, but all the ways I've tried never worked. I tried to restrict my eating and eat fruits (I hate veggies, I'm actually allergic to some), but it didn't work. I need your help with some ideas for a healthy diet program. This is what I have:
A $20 Dance Pad (I got it in September, it works even though I put some duct tape on it. Barely notice it)
DDRMax2
DDRE
A store down the street
A 12lbs weight
A 15lbs weight
I plan on doing this for a basic program:
-Play DDR endless mode for 25 songs per day (I can do 8-9's)
-Lift weights for 30-45 minutes every other day
-Eat an apple/strawberry/melon when I get home
-Restrict sweets to 1 every 3-5 days _________________

I think you can do more than 25 songs a day. Don't spend too much time during the breaks, however, because that makes it more likely that you'll succumb to tiredness and stop playing. |

Here is my advice. Instead of playing 8-9 footer 25 songs, Try 6-7 footers 60min. As other poster mentioned, small serving more often then 3 times a day and water. It depend on your age but if you are teen or younger, make sure you get at least 3 serving of Daily product. Milk, cheese, soy product if you are lactose intolerant. Please keep in mind that less you eat is NOT always better. If you donât eat enough, your body will hold on to every calorie you put in your body. Do you eat breakfast? If you are not breakfast eater, try starting. Just eat something light such as an apple to get your metabolism going.
Good luck |

Using weights as well as DDR is a good balance. This way you get your cardio, and muscle mass. As I am sure you know, the more muscle one has on his or her body, the faster he or she will burn calories (increased metabolism). Mix that with some DDR, a healthy diet, and lots of water- bam! You should lose weight quickly.
And as for the fruit thing, I suggest eating raspberries. A study showed that women (although I believe the results would work for men as well,) who consumed about 200mg of some ingredient derived from raspberries, lost up to two more pounds per week when not making any changes to their workout/eating habits compared to other women. There's just something in raspberries that absorb fat. I don't know all the facts, but I think eating them is a good idea. Plus they're yummy.
Good luck. This summer I plan on creating a little DDR workout plan for myself as well. Just to shape up for the warm weather. _________________
