While going through the DDR Festival FAQ, I was looking for the song unlock system, and it mentioned this...

Quote:
You must not have Event Mode on for the songs you've played to count, and you must also have Workout Mode options disabled (IE - playing in normal mode).

I played on event mode and saved like any other DDR console game, and I'm getting unlocks with no problem. So, was this supposed to mean something else? If not, then it should be changed IMO.

Just a heads up.

If that's true, then it's possible it could be an error. IIRC, you must *not* have Event Mode on with Extreme, and since they're the same engine, I assumed that the same must be true for Festival.

If I could get independent confirmation on this, then I'll change it. Not that I don't trust you, but it's quite a strange discrepancy.

I know event does not have to be on for characters. However, I'm not 100% on Songs...

That's not quite the concern. What we're asking is: Does Event Mode *disable* the unlocking process?

Yes, when event mode is on it disables all possible items that could be "unlocked" at the time. Whereas, when it's off, everything's perfectly fine E13.gif

o,o;

I've been unlocking with Event mode on just fine. I unlocked both DDR EX US and DDR Festival on Event Mode. The only thing you cant unlock is Trip Machine survivor and LOM/Maximizer through extra stage on event mode :/
