The foam comes seperatly and you have to assemble it together and put it in the pad yourself. I leave the foam inside and lay it totally flat, as I believe that's best. _________________

I believe you can not get the one year warranty off of their site. You can get it from EBGames for $10 cheaper, or you can get it from the RO site for an additional $10 but get a free shirt if they still do that. |
We do. |

I have a question for anyone who owns an Ignition 3.0: have any of you cut it open to see how it's constructed inside? The reason I ask this is because it seems like all Ignition pads and knockoffs seem to have the same shoddy circuit desgin that amounts to a sheet of absurdly thin foam sandwiched by two sheets of plastic wrap with printed circuits on them that tear if you look at them the wrong way and get all wrinkled with normal play. I'd like to know if the Ignition 3.0 is any different in that respect. Sounds like it might be, as the people who have bought the pad aren't reporting it dying shortly after purchase, but I'd like to see for myself. |

I got a similar cord in my ROIgnition v2 pad.
It's supposed to be for Xbox Live support so that you can use your mic. _________________

OK, I got this thing just last Thursday. Works alright so far. But the warning on it says that you shouldn't play with socks on. I've been doing that with the V 2.0 PS2 only pad for about 2 and a half years and no problems with it. Anything very bad happens if you play with socks on to this one?
Oh, and I play these on those plasic chair mats. _________________

I don't think there'd be any problems. I'm guessing they're suggesting you to play barefoot? _________________

I am just guessing they don't want you to slip and fall and sue them, but I would still play in socks I mean really if you were to fall what 2 ft. would you die? Plus if you have been doing it for 2.5 years go for it. |

There's a warning not to play on this thing in socks? That's weird, considering I played on an Ignition 3.0 at Best Buy today and they tell you to take off your shoes before playing. o_O I guess it would basically be a warning against slipping, but I can't see how you'd slip on that thing, even in socks.
As for the pad itself, it's not bad. Doesn't feel any different from the Ignition 2.0 to me, though. Probably wouldn't pay $100 for it. |

I just returned my v2 pad and got the v3. It looks awfully great. I can't wait to test it out tomorrow! ^^ _________________

I also turned in a broken v2 pad and got a v3 in return (EBGames). I may be imagining this, but the v3 pad seems less sensitive or like it has a bit of lag compared to the v2 pad I used. I changed the v2 for the v3 and used the v3 the next day, so it isn't like there was a long delay between use for me to forget. I've used the v3 pad for about 4 hours now, and it still seems a little off. Has anyone else noticed more lag (using XBOX) with the v3 than the v2 pad?
Other than the tiny lag, this pad seems just as reliable as my v2 pad. We'll see if it lasts longer than 2 weeks. |

Okay, I just tried using my v3 on SM and it won't map. -_- I don't think mine is PC compatible or Xbox compatible for that matter as they use the same cord ending. =/
*sigh* I had fun playing PIU though. _________________

I'm sorry to say this about a pad that gets perfect reviews, but mine is having problems. During a recent playing of the game, I lost my combo at least seven times..in the first 25 seconds of the song..due to the pad not responding right. When I step on the arrow perfectly, it sometimes doesn't respond, and the up and left arrows activate like crazy, even when I'm not stepping on them. I've only owned this pad for 2 weeks, and it's already causing problems.
Oh, and before you say "but AJmix! Every soft pad does that!", then I'd have to say if every pad did do that, then I would have quitted DDR home versions back when Disney Mix was released. I'd have to say my old BNS Ignition-like pad worked perfectly, for months, until it died down completely. I'm not even going to talk about the best pad for a dance game ever lifetime-wise, the PIU pad, which lasted for YEARS. No problems, and still lasts to this day.
I only wanted to comment. The times it did work, it did it perfectly. Thank goodness for the warranty. |

Just bought this pad today, it being the first ignition pad I have gotten (well, first anything better than the flimsy little $20 pads) and I am extremely happy with it. Immediatly started AA'ing things I couldnt before. I do have one question regarding the pad though, On the top of the pad where the cord come out, there are two holes with some sort of port down in there. Anyone know what these are for? |

The two holes on the control box part of the Ignition are for Xbox memory cards. _________________

1. Turn off automap.
2. Map it yourself heheh.
3. Try doing two arrows at once, if it doesn't work, hold Up+Start+Select for 3 seconds.
4. Restart if that still doesnt work, and retry steps 1-4 in whatever order
5. Thank me. _________________

I don't know how to do it. I turned off automapping. Then I go to say left arrow's black "-----" spot on SM. I hit enter on my keyboard and then hit left on my pad. It doesn't do anything. _________________

Is it safe to wear shoes while playing on this pad? Im getting bad pains in my arches while playing...while I know they will go away eventually, I think shoes would be better, yet I don't want to hurt the pad. Anyone know? _________________
