I got word of this a couple of days ago, but with all the E3 news, it had to wait a bit - Konami is performing location testing on Pop'n Music 13 Carnival in Kawasaki and Osaka this week, which means that not only has the game been unveiled, but a release date will likely happen shortly. Also in the news, Pop'n Music 11 for the PS2 is scheduled for release on July 21st, so get those preorders in.
Thanks to Superstar Player and St. Nick for the tips, and BemaniStyle.com for the original Pop'n 11 CS news. _________________

I mean, yeah PoP'n is awesome...I just wish I had a machine near me...or the money to buy an import PS2.
Wait... are there any modchips available for the Slimline PS2?
Cause that's all I have. _________________

For the slimline PS2 there are many ways to easily mod it without a modchip, I did my girlfriend's slimline and mine in under 10 minutes. If you google slimline PStwo mods you should come up with it in a matter of minutes, if not feel free to PM me. (There are also mod chips, but I don't keep up on that scene because I use hard drives to play my games).
Pop'n 13 looks awesome, and I can't wait to play 11 at home .
PS: Desktop Arcade Pop'n controllers are always in production and we will be unveiling a couple new art controllers in the coming weeks (hint: The Pop'n 13 art work is AWESOME!). Go to my site for more information _________________

XD, I thought the same thing: I saw "Pop'n" and because of Beatmania US, I immediately thought "whoamg US release" but then saw the 11 and the 13. ; |

I reccomend the DMS 4 Pro or Lite with the newest laser fix. Its a great chip and wont kill your laser. Best for importing! I reccomend it so that you dont have to fiddle with a swap disc. There are sites that offer installation if you dont know how to install. _________________

Just be thankful for what you have, in my state, we have no bemani at all, aside from a few MegaMixes and Extremes. And by few, i mean VERY few. |
