You have evidence that's how the game will be setup when finished? We only get 50 songs. I seriously DOUBT that it will be a 25/25 split between 5Keys and 7Keys. |
I merely suggested this because the songs that are on the 5Key songlist so far were dedicated songs from the 5-key beatmania series, and many/most of those songs already have two or three levels of notecharts created for them.
Just like we have no concrete proof yet that the game will be a dedicated 50/50 split between 5Key songs and 7Key songs, we also have no concrete proof that there will only be 50 songs. Too bad we have a while to wait...
RE: the 5th MIX song wheel: THANK GOD they got rid of that fugly-looking thing they used last time!

Wow. Konami just won.
Ex2 has E-Rotic? OMGWTFTHAT'SFRIGGINAMAZING. I still wait for a ten footer, but I bet it'll be new whatever it is. Be lovin and Un deux trois are great picks. As with Sean Paul. I do have to say La Bamba=YAUCK. Having Genie in a Bottle be a cover almost for me guarantees that Fired Up mix will re-appear in some form.
Ultramizzle 3 looks pimp as always, with Daikenkai, Sakura, Lom and some great other songs...

This is a great year for music games, with ITG, PIU, Guitar Freaks(sort of), DDR, and Beatmania all having american releases.

Except that PARANOiA MAX ~Dirty Mix~ is also a IIDX song, with it's own full set of 7Keys charts, in addition to an older 5Key beatmania song.

I'm glad Beatmania is finally coming to the US so I don't have to buy a Japanese PS2 or anything like that. It better be a good mix XD!
I can't wait to get my US BM controller 
Good to see all the home version songs EX US left out seem to be coming to Extreme 2. Also good to see that we know some new konami originals already. It'll be interesting to see how KOA works with this game since they have no other game to base it off of unless KOJ is staying underwraps. (And yes I know KOJ makes KOA's games.)
If they fix all the flaws UM2 had I might actually get excited for it. Quest Mode sounds interesting. It's about time PS2 DDR was online available. It was speculated for MAX2 and tons of people thought it was in EXTREME (including me). It'll be interesting to see the surprises in songlist and features that I'm sure will come from all of these releases.
Just when I thought BEMANI in America was dying...heh, Konami pulls all this out of they're @$$ I'm pretty impressed.
I would probably die of heart attack if:
-Beatmania was online and came out before the DDRs.
-DDR EX2 had Boom Boom Dollar K.O.G. G3 Mix, Better Off Alone, and One More Time.

That is completely unfair. I only own a ps2, and I WANT SAKURA GOD DAMN IT!!! *sigh the ps2 version of extreme better have some good songs, or else I'm going to cry.

Heh, if Konami wants to easily sell beatmania USA to DDR fans, they should plug on the box that there's music from DDR in it. Then they should be sure to include Sakura, which will cause millions of DDR players to automatically buy it. =)
...when everyone then realizes that Sakura is a boss song, they'll play beatmania USA for months straight until they can clear it. Aha! Time for a sequel! Konami = winner.
(I've owned 8th Style for quite some time now, and I still haven't cleared it...)

The songlist posted was from the version of the game shown at E3. Be Lovin' and You Gotta Move It were not included in the E3 version.

Thats funnuy, I can play sakura on *my* ps2.
Anyways, I am just amazed by teh fact that IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT is on DDR. No love for Do It All Night, or temple of love.

I doubt Sakura will be on EX2. Why? Well, it's going to be on UM3. Think about something; if UM3's best song is Sakura, and people want Sakura, they'll buy UM3 (and probably EX2 also); whether or not it has a lot of great songs. Now, if UM3 and EX2 both had Sakura, and UM3 didn't have a lot of good songs, but EX2 had more of what they wanted, they'd go for EX2, and not buy both. Understand? Basically, putting Sakura on EX2 would make Konami get less money than they could. 
Now back on topic, how much would it cost to get a used Ps2 + an Xbox -> Ps2 converter? |

I agree with you. I want Sakura and Daikenkai... This new version better have some harder songs than the last one, the songs got too easy after a while. MORE 10s!!!!! |
