My friend Jaye double steps everything...looks pretty funny sometimes but man is he good at it ^^ the only time he crosses his feet is for freezes that force you to. He double steps skipping streams that cross...even Paranoia Survivor. He used to be a top player on our boards, especially for Dancemania, but he doesn't really play much anymore
It can be a pretty cool style if you work it right...and he does a lot of dancing like hip-hop and stuff so he knows how to look good _________________

I have more questions that need answering:
What is a reasonable BAC level for playing DDR?
Should I continue practicing the song even after I've vomited all over the pads?
How can I teach my cat to play?
What if I'm scared that I'll fail a certain song and then the group of elites laugh at me?
Does it look stupid when I get 3 other players to simultaneously step on all other arrows so that we can pass a song?
Umm... I think that should be all for now. _________________

In Cant Stop Fallin In Love speed mix, on the runs on the same arow, should I use 1 foot or 2??? |
1 foot on each arrow
you should never, EVER double step. When it comes down to the absolute point, it is much mor efficiant to learn crossing over and such because when you hit 9/10 footers, you'll find yourself with your pants down when the streams they contain pretty much screw over you learning to pass hard songs.
CSFIN(SM) is what? a 7 or 8? I'd suggest playing songs like DXY, Colors, Senorita(Speed mix) or B4U assuming you can do them all. I could suggest a lot of 9's becasue i generally play 9/10's but you are not quite at that level yet, so you'll have to figure them out.
Alternatly, do all the 10's on standard, that should be a good start. (ps no im not an idiot, i mean the Max's and paranoia's, just on standard and not heavy) _________________

Simple. Smash your foot really hard on it and pop it up and smash it again. use the ball of your foot.
In a nutshell-
get up on your toes
flex your leg so the whole thing is taught and not relaxed
shake it fairly quickly (more like twitching, but whatever)
and point the toes downward so the hit the ground/pad really quickly.
Or play Max 300/Unlimited/Legend on standard and get a feel for it _________________

I have the exact same problem. If it weren't for those parts of the song i cuold AAA it, because the 21 greats I got on it were only in those one arrow run parts. I still haven't figured out a good way of donig it yet |

clubbinguy wrote: | I agree with everything else, except the lock-down on "I need help with [insert song here]". That's not cool. People can actually benefit with advice on particular parts of particular songs. That's part of what these forums are for, right? To serve some purpose other than flaming, ie. helping each other.
Case in point:
I once posted long ago about how to get through the hard part of DXY and someone pointed out that I should be leading out with my left foot after the jumps instead of my right and it's way easier, and they were right.
I say let these posts go through. Heck, theyre better than the most of the lame ideas some people decide to start a thread about. |
