Well, it is true that it's meant to be a game. However, it's turning into more than that. I heard on the news recently, that DDR is now becoming the main way for kids to get their excercise. You see, kids like to play games, and this is an excellent game to play and to get them up and moving, like sports and such. But for the video game addicts, this is where their excercise comes from, so they don't just sit around all day and eat and get huge >_< (Not saying you do, cuz that's me, but ya know)
Anyway, the point is more parents are doing it for excercising, like my mom, and kids get both benefits. So, we may look at this is a game, but to others its a good way to keep in shape. Either way, it works for everyone, which is hard to do. Plus, these are just more ways for the creators to make more money, so I'm sure they don't mind different perspectives I look at it as an awesome video game, that I must master (after being at several Anime conventions and having been amazed) and because I'm a dancer, a great way to excercise. I also used DDR in my dance class (now remember I'm 18) to teach the younger kids how to get on beat. DDR has to be one of the most brilliantly thought out games of all time. |
