the wierdest ive seen was the background on tsugaru. the spinning spring dealies ont he guys heads are wierd and scary.

Yes, the backgrounds are very "weird".

To answer your question, yup there is a Spongebob look-a-like in Witch Doctor.

And as for my opinion on any other songs... well, when I am playing I hardly notice the background at all. However, when I watch others play, it's freaky because they put all these random words in the background. I wouldn't be suprised if they put a label saying, "Buy Konami!". And also in Rhythm and Police on DDRMax Home, the robot in the background it freaky. That's just my two cents.

I also laugh when I see that 5th mix backround with the crab pincers and inverting colours eyes. Trippyz...

the whole background video for Move Your Feet is pretty freakishly random

...abe lincoln's hat flies off, the sphinx crumbles, toast pops out of a toaster saying "oh yea" and stuff

also the frog puppet things from BreakDown are random too.
