What if they had like a DDR or Bemani Magazine they could publish that can explain what DDR is and about other Bemani games? biggrin.gif

Magazines like Tips & Tricks, PSX, or BlackBelt made good money. laugh.gif

Also, they should publish national tourneys, and a marketplace page (such as DrumMania [I've been dying to get that game]or somethin).

What else? E19.gif

a "Getting Started" Section for us n00bs!

Reviews on equipment(softpads v. hard pads)
(kinda wish I hadn't bought this gamestop pad)

Uhhhh...Maybe "Artist Info/Profiles" for the DJ's etc that mix up songs and and like a "Rising Star in DDR" for people to submit pictures of routines et. al.

I'd subscribe.

This has been brought up before. There simply isn't enough DDR news to make a magazine. There probably isn't enough to fill one. Sure, it can have tips, but you will run out of them. This cannot exist realistically.

besides that, it's a little late, don't you think? there are going to be more home versions, but those generally suck. besides, the hardest song in DDR has been AAA'd, and ITG is in every way ('cept noteskins) better than DDR. to most of us, DDR is dead. argue all you want, but this is my opinion

I've never seen or heard of In The Groove until I got here. What's the big difference?

We actually happen to have a entire forum dedicated to In The Groove here at DDR Freak, so you can check that out for information.

I know people always use this to squash the idea, and it's likely you're right, but on the other hand, this board, as an example, sure generates so much conversation that it gives the impression that there's no shortage of topics to cover.

There was actually a DDR fanzine a while ago, maybe a year or two ago, I think? It was called IDRM, and I remember it being, well, not very good. blink.gif Anyway, I went to see if it was still around, and while it only lasted for 5 issues, what was done is still available. If you want to take a look at what a magazine about DDR and Bemani might look like, check out this link: IDRM.

Ever notice how most of the topics are repeated every month or so? (like this one?) Also, half of the topics only last like 10 posts due to the fact that they are questions that can easily be answered. I don't want to bash on you or anybody else, but this can't exist for longer than like, wow, 5 issues.

I would definetly subscribe

I remember reading an old Transworld skate magazine (I don't skate) and towards the end, they would have random non-pro skaters and profiles of them and stuff
It would be cool if a ddr magazine did that. I would most definetly subscribe E13.gif

God damn it , do you ever make a post that doesn't reference to how you think ITG is SOOOO much better than DDR? I'm really getting ticked off by you idiots bringing up ITG when no one made any type of reference to it what so ever. Would you like to give me some reason to why ITG is so much better than DDR ?If you want a blown out discussion make another thread , I'd love for you to prove me wrong.

But back on the topic of D D R , if a DDr magazine were published I'd definatly buy it.

Not necessarily... there have been a lot of console releases lately... Extreme US, Festival, Fusion, Ultramix 2, Unleashed 2... and if you expanded to cover the console releases of ITG and PIU, you could spend a lot of time just doing in-depth stuff on all of these. Again, not saying it's a viable idea... I'm just saying that as long as they keep coming out with new content, there's plenty to talk about.

Fixed.

A DDR Magazine would be ok for say, a high school project over a couple of months. There's just not enough "news" that isn't common knowledge to put in a DDR fanzine.

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

Not enough content exists for a DDR magazine. A dancing-game magazine, on the other hand, would rock.

It'd be the same. Anything you'd want to put in a magazine about dancegames is already common knowledge to 90% of the people who care about this stuff.
