I built my metal pad. Just so you know though, if you dont have lots of tools and lots of experience in building serious projects, it will be easier, and only about 50$ more expensive to just buy a metal pad from somwhere. It took me about 15 hours of actual work-time to build mine, it runs on an x-box controler. Here is what it looks like without the arrow graphics in:
