Dawgbowl's guide to getting a DDR machine at your school

Step 1x: Be sure to meet during school hours with the highest authority of the school (Principal) with another friend and demonstrate a Powerpoint presentation to her explaining what the machine can do for the school.
-Allow students to have an activity to do after school and during lunch.
-Help students stay fit
-Bring in money for the school (don't even try for free play, thats asking for to much)
-give her estimations of how much the machine will make per week, month, ect.
-explain that it's competitive and not just another arcade game out there.

Step 1.5x: Get some friends to get signitures of students in the school who support the idea of a DDR machine... the more the better.

Step 2.0x: Get all the info for the principal so he/she doesn't have to do it by themselves, and keep pushing. the dealer, the costs, everything.

Step 2.5x: Wait for her to make her decision, you've done as much as you can and if you can get the support of the student body (presidents of classes are good too) you got a 20-25% chance of succeeding.

-------------------------

Hey, it worked for myself and 2 others (even though, one of my friends did 1/2 the work... me and the other did about 1/4)
Middletown high school, maryland... its listed if you don't believe me.

To bad I graduate in 18 days. disturb.gif

WhiteEricMoulds, do you go to harding? I feel bad for everyone in this thread because I have a teacher that will let me ditch and play in her room whenever I want. I'm going there for lunch in about two hours! laugh.gif

Yeah, it's a good thought.

I don't think we could play it in gym class, our P.E. teacher is phun, but he's paranoid and TOO careful with accidents happening..... disturb.gif

I should just bring a pad, my PS2, a portable TV, or borrow a projector, and play it during lunch break, or ask my teacher if we can play at the end of the school year. biggrin.gif
(Better wait a few minutes after lunch! goog.gif )

Never play on standard if you never ever played before; I learned it the hard way!! erm.gif
_____________

I hate it when kids play DDR and think they're all that when they step on the pad as HARD AS THEY CAN, and they're only playing an easy standard song.
Spokane kiddies, you know who you are.

Dude! The idea is sick! Tons of people play in my school and for once I would have people to play with... but my principal is pretty up-tight.

We started a DDR club in my school but it failed due to lack of responsibility on the leader's behalf. It should be pretty easy to start a DDR club if you already have other clubs in your school. The only hard part is the TV and where to do it.

You don't have anywhere you could hang out after school? A school DDR Club doesn't nessesarily have to be IN SCHOOL. ponder.gif

"snaps fingers" I got it!! Maybe YOU should be leader of this group. Maybe you can find a machine or someone'[s place to go to.
As for this lazy bum of a leader you had maybe you should teach him some responsibility. WITH YOUR FIST frust.gif E4.gif

Yes!!! My friend brought in her PS2 and Pad and DDR Extreme today....and we shot a video in the studio we have at school with greenscreen...I've never DDR'd a day in my life before today...but after playing it when she brought in it....i just traded in 2 DVD'S 2 Xbox Games 2 Playstation Controllers, 3 N64 Games, a Gameboy and 2 Gameboy games and 3 trips to gamestop...I had enough for Ultramix and the cheapie pad for Xbox...I still suck...but perfection takes time...but anyway...I hope to have that video done before next thursday(last day of school) If anyone wants to see it I'll post it here.
