Just had a though (as I saw this on another post) but can you actually hook up an actuall arcade platform to the ps2 somehow?

I know it isn't really available, but I mean this one http://channelbeat.com/products/parts/dance_dance_revolution_parts/130.html

just wondering, cuz I might try it (and save myself from making a pad, having to get a CF pad, or getting a crappy metal pad)

thanks for any help.

im 13, and i know about wiring, :/

well, i wouldn't reccomend that, its already used, and with shipping, could easily be around $500, i would reccomend the CF, i have one, and it is impeccable, but i would also wait for the afterburner, which is also a cheaper alternative

In a purely theoretical sense, wiring a DDR arcade platform for home usage sounds possible to me since DDR hardware is Playstation-based, but going beyond that, I'm not sure. I don't really know how the DDR platform connects to the hardware, but I'm guessing it's not your standard PS1 or PS2-type connection. I think if you really, really worked at it, you might be able to make it happen. Another thought that crossed my mind is if you rewired it using Playstation controller circuits, but I'm not sure how that'd work, either.

it's a JAMMA connector. You'd have to find a JAMMA to PS1 conversion kit somehwere. I know it's been done before.
