I'll answer both of your questions (Though the second one will get an incomplete answer).
The easiest way to connect your computer to your TV is to set your TV as a secondary monitor by running an S-Video cable from your video card to the S-Video in on your TV. Your videocard may not have an S-Video out, in which case you'll have to get advice from someone else on how to connect your PC to your TV. If your TV doesn't have an S-Video in, you'll need to get an RFU Adapter that accepts S-Video. You can find these at Radio Shack for $25. |

My Setup...
Hooked up the same way, though a USB adapter, S-Video & Mini-Jack -> RCA into my Amp...
2 HUGE speakers
1 Center...
and I have two Surrounds that are about 3/4 the height of those... and my 2 rears which are about half that height...
and my custom built pad... and also custom theme... (I have parties all the time... so well, I decided to make my own theme... actually looks pretty decent, not quite done yet though...) There is the caution screen for ya.
Enjoy,

YOU GOT THAT RIGHT! That setup is pretty badass for a custom home arcade.
What is your theme based on? Are you going to release it to the public? |

Heh, no I don't have any instructions, I just actually went from my head... (It was suppose to have bars as well, but I just never got that far... technicially I could stil build them in, i'd just have to take the rear panels off...)
Heh it's made out of Plywood and 2x4's... It's a _VERY_ solid unit... (Also, it's a bi*** to move...)
Themewise though, nah, I don't plan on releasing it to the public... It has a ton of wording and such that only my friends would get (personal jokes in the caution screen etc...) AND to be honest I took a one or two things from other themes and modified them a bit... (Now since it's for my basement use only, I'm sure they don't really care... but if I distributed em to others... they might

One is never enough!
The top one is modded, and has the HD unit in it... However the DVD-Drive doesn't always like to work... that's why the second one is there... it's just one of my friends, the house she's livingin has I think 3 PS2's already... so she doesn't need hers...
That is why =[D} |

You guys are lucky. Sure I got a 400 watt stereo on me but all I got is some janky buttocks TV and no laptop... Wish me TV had S-video, that way I wouldn'tneed to get a 25 dollar adapter. _________________

I had 3 PS2s at one point. Gave one to my girlfriend and sold another. Kept the slim one for myself though. |

I don't have pictures (yet), but here's what my setup is like. I have two pads hooked into a PS2 adapter to my PC. They're the nicer pads with foam inserts, don't know the exact model though. I have S-Video out to my 32" TV, and digital audio out to my surround sound system. It's a lot of fun to play, but playing with two people is problematic because the right arrow on one of the pads is iffy. Works sometimes, doesn't work sometimes. I plan to eventually make some homemade wooden/medal pads, but right now my funding is way too low to budget in such a project. |
