Okay is it me, or does it seem kinda wierd how in the anti-slip foam bottom picture, the down arrow is pink and the right arrow is blue. Yet in the picture of the whole dance mat, the down and up arrows are blue and the right and left arrows are red?

The wonders of Photoshop...

The actual pad probably looks like neither picture.

In my opinion the "non-slip" foam really doesnt do anything about slipping. Really the only thing that can make the pad stay put is

1) Tape
2) Weight ( ie. pad is metal)
3) Very light dance steps (low demanding songs)

Even the foam on the ignition pad really does nothing to grip the floor. Foam is obviously 100% useless on carpet because it has nothing to grip to. Even on Hardwood/laminate it would still slide. In my opinion just buy a $5 pad and tape it down.

it almost looks like they made the colors negative on the foam pic. cause the dancers leg is blue in the pic but it is white in the foam pic. but if that were the case, the blue arrow on the foam pic should be white. But then again im prolly wrong about the whole thing cause im too lazy to check the negatives of colors on my computer. but cutris is prolly right. the pad prolly looks like neighter pic

I think all soft pads are good, for when the arrows crack and the pad stops working:

1. Put about ten layers of duck tape perpendicular to the origin of the pad, makes it feel just like plexy(?) glass.
2. Wrap duck tape or electric tape around any exposed wires at the souce of the cord.
3. I even had a friend that customised his with colored duck tape for arrows.

And another thing to add to the list of things better than a non-slip base, sticky pads (large surface area, doublestick, nerd.gif ).
