Interesting.
I've been reading your discussions in here, and I think I might need some help. So I read about how the front arrow of one of your guy's pad wasn't working too good. Well, mine is in about the same state. But the thing is, there's this crack on the arrow. So here's a picture of the situation.
The saturated line represents the crack.
And on the top side of the crack (represented in yellow) is the side that is not working. The bottom side (green) is the only part that is actually working on the arrow. But it is A LOT smaller than it appears. Obviously, the yellow part is bigger.
I tried switching arrows, to see if that would be the case. But it's not. That portion still won't work. It looks like the wires are all connected. Hmmm.
Any ideas? _________________

Just in case you guys didn't know, the price of this pad has been dropped by 25 dollars, making it 174.99. Do you guys think that with that price that the pad is worth buying, because I'm thinking of buying. |

I think they're just doing that because the Afterburner is going to be their new metal pad that will take its place. I assume that the Afterburner is going to cost $199 or $200 though. _________________

This pad looks like it's a rip off of Redoctane. Can anyone tell what brand it actaully is? I got it off of ebay.

I'd say no shoes, considering how many people have arrow cracking problems on these pads. I don't personally own one though. On the CF you can use shoes _________________

It's up to you really. I would use shoes with this, as I don't want to hurt my feet by hitting a screw or anything. _________________

I decided to use shoes on it until I get it to break, then do the sheet metal mod and replace the arrows and play on it again unitl it breaks. Then buy a Cobalt Flux. |

hey guys do u think the red octane metal pad (not afterburner) will make any noise and make the ground shake because i live in the 3rd floor of an apartment and the landlord will be complaining if i make the ground shake to much (it obviously will make some noise but im talking about not that much)
the reason is because it's a metal and metal is a solid so it shouldn't shake as much as the plastic ones, and its higher off the ground |

that pad looks almost exactly like the RO, except without the logo, therefore it isn't an RO and the quality might not be as good
i just got the RO today, i don't like the responsiveness, i have to hit the arrows hard to register, any tips on improving it, i want to make it so all i have to do is tap it to register, and i don't want to by the CF (which i regret not getting in the first place ) |

I posted back on page 5. My dance pad still works...which is a big surprise to me because I play the hardest songs on it almost everyday, on heavy or challenge. Before anyone buys a redoctane pad, do a lot of research to find one that can last even through the toughest songs. I found that accidentally hitting the brackets while playing makes them come loose, which can be very problematic. I guess Redoctane already ran into this problem because the afterburner has recessed brackets.

My RO metal pad has been giving me some problems. The down arrow will sometimes not unregister itself. As in, when I let go of it, it stays lit. Since it stays lit, I cannot hit anymore down arrows. I do not have the tools to take it apart just yet, but I was wondering what should I do in this case. Do I even need to take it apart? I've tried everything I could to figure out why it is doing this. It seems that it is just sticking to the bottom, and isn't a wire problem. Of course, it might be, but I'm not sure. Any advice? _________________
