Okay, so I am at school right now and I am doing science. For science, we are doing projects and if you turn it in, you are guaranteed an A+ for the 3rd trimester. Well, our science teacher told us to pick something we like to do. Well, I like to play ddr, and people are intresrted bt this game, so I decided to pick it as my science project.

My science teacher told me to not just describe the game but pick something else about the game to do my project on. I decided to pick how eating big meals like Mc. Donalds effects how you play Dance Dance Revolution. Now, the catch is that all of our machines in our area are broken and my machine has suddenly broken down too. So, I need one of you to help with with this project.

You will have to eat any "meal" from Mc, Donalds then immediatly play 1 of the 5 sets of songs then after the 5 songs, write down the results of how you feel.

Set 5
---------------------------------------------
Paranoia Survivor Max (Oni)
The Legend of Max (Heavy)
MaxX Unlimited (Heavy)
Paranoia Survivor (Heavy)
Max 300 (Heavy)

Set 4
-----------------------------------------------
Sakura (Heavy)
Cartoon Hereos (Heavy)
Rhythm and Police (Heavy)
Catptain Jack (Heavy)
Drop Out (Heavy)

Set 3
------------------------------------------------
So Deep (Heavy)
Witch Doctor (Heavy)
Daikenkai (Oni)
Speed Over Beethoven (Heavy)
The Reflex (Heavy)

Set 4
-------------------------------------------------
Celebrate Nite (Heavy)
Sexy Planet (Heavy)
20, November (Heavy)
R3 (Heavy)
Janejana (Heavy)

Set 5
--------------------------------------------------
e-motion (heavy)
Drop the bomb (Heavy)
Wild Rush (Heavy)
Be in my Paradise (Heavy)
Put your faith in Me (Heavy)

Any of you that decide to do this for me, I will give great thanks to. I would do this myself, but all the machines are broken. If my machine gets fixed during this time period, I will give all of you heads up. E1.gif

Does it really matter what you do as an intense activity after eating a meal? You're either going to vomit or get diarrhea.

I don't know. It just strikes me as odd that anybody could just eat and then just play DDR with strong stomach tolerance. The food is digesting too, and it's also going to cramp you. I can't even imagine going through Set 5 without a hitch.

If you eat anything that is at all fat-heavy directly before intense physical activity, you're going to be uncomfortable because you're body has to divert energy from digestion to your heart and other muscles.

I hate to be negative, but for it to qualify as scientific, you need to observe the proceedings. Aka, you can't take someone's random word for it. You need to do a controlled experiment where you can observe all the factors such as:

What kind of a mcdonalds meal did they eat
Is this their normal kind of meal
Their normal skill levels and reaction times, scores
Their altered scores after eating McDonalds
Their physical reaction to playing after eating McDonalds

To make it qualify you can't just say "well this guy on the internet says he AAA's Legend of Max and he ate a tripple whopper and he only AA'd it..." without any proof. You do need to observe and watch the experiment for it to be verified. Preferable - taking some hard evidence such as pictures of them eating McDonalds, followed by a picture of their score screen, them vomiting in a toilet, etc. Scientists - and teachers - love physical evidence.

I think your project has a good theme to it, and you'll do well if you can find a working DDR machine - or even a DDR home pad.

As for myself - I wouldn't touch McDonalds with a barge pole... have you seen the movie Supersize me? Yeccchhh.

This won't apply to your study, but whenever I eat Kraft Dinner macaroni and cheese, and play DDR within a few hours (I ate a whole pack over the course of about an hour yesterday then hit up the arcade for 6 sets), I get sick. My stomach was hurting real bad and I had one of those sit on the toilet for 30 minutes while having painful bowel movements. This morning I was late for school because I was really hungry and I had to eat something, and shortly after lunch I was starving again.

Never doing that again.
