i am working on a simfile in stepmania and i have a problem.
when i tested it out by playing it in game mode, after the song ended the game still continued to go for a while even though there were no more steps. what causes this and how can i fix it?
thanks for any help!

One of the reason may be because you have made a complete set of steps in the same file. For example, you made steps for standard and you are now making steps for heavy mode which is unfinished.

Stepmania picks the very end of the longest step set to be the cue to end the stage for every set. What you have to do is check and make sure that any other step set that may be on the file, for every difficulty and style (single, double, etc) is no longer than where the song ends.

...er, was that clear? It seems awkwardly worded to me.

And you're absolutely sure you don't have any other step types in there, like Double, Couple or Solo?
