To be honest, I didn't read every post in this thread, so please forgive me should this be a repeat.
But today at lunch, I was thinking about this topic, and I decided that "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" would be just plain awesome. |

"Rhapsody in Blue" by Gershwin. Do you think you could handle those 15 minutes?
They should make that Spongebob Theme fanstep in Stepmania a real DDR song. _________________

Eiffel 65-Blue that was such a catchy song
Eiffel 65-Move your body
i dont think metal or linkin park would fit in DDR, i listen to punk and metal put i place that seperate from my DDR world.
I like Metalica, but I can't picture anyone dancing to Saint Anger
no offense to anyones musical prefernce but i dont beleive metal has its place in DDR
Now a slam dance dance revolution, that my work, or a mosh mosh revolution, Metal and punk all the way lol |

Move Your Feet (Junior Senior), Overblast!! (L.E.D. Light), and Dark Black Forest (short trip) (Steve Rhyner) should get arcade releases.
When it comes to DDR-friendly genres, virtually anything can work. Remember - the most percussion in Orion .78 (civilization mix) was a distorted bass drum, yet it's an extremely fun song to play! DDR features songs from not just electronica, but also rock (BRE\-/KDOWN!) and swing (Heaven is a '57 Metallic Grey). The reason many hard rock songs wouldn't work doesn't have to do with genre, but instead the vibe. Baby Baby Gimme Your Love, for example, does not work because it doesn't make you want to dance - not because it's an R&B song. However, After the Game of Love, which is Jazz/Funk/R&B, probably works (I never played the song myself) because it has a dancing vibe. If metal songs energize your feet, best chances are they'll work in DDR. If ska/punk rock makes you move around (which a lot of it does), they're most likely DDR-worthy. Same with hard rock, with Breaking the Habit by Linkin Park as an example.
There's a second factor to consider, too: is the song in question considered gay? The example of this factor is the classic failure of YMCA. A song that is humorously cheesy (I'd suppose Pink Dinosaur fills this spot) will probably work in DDR, but YMCA is NOT humorously cheesy. It's uncomfortably cheesy. This factor is a possible argument for why many 80's songs might not work in DDR, and why many classical remakes are excellent for DDR.
By the way, Robot Rock by Daft Punk (from their new album) would make a good DDR song |

I was talking with a friend a couple weeks ago about a Rock Rock Revolution that would just be music from various hard rock bands.
Anyhow, music that I'd really like to see show up in DDR form? A number of songs from .hack //SIGN ...the soundtrack for that is pretty slick. I think Obsession and Key Of The Twilight would be wonderful.
I'd also love to see some Robert Miles, Underworld, and Fluke show up on there. Princess Of Light, Mmm...Skyscraper I Love You, Absurd...those would be awesome to see in DDR format. |

Move Your Body: Woh I was just thinking about that song being in DDR the other day...that would be cool...
Mosh Mosh Revolution: My friend David goes on and on about how he wants to invent that...go figure...
I also think they should put Moonlight Sonata and Let Me Be With You from Chobits...
Oh and Aerodynamic from Daft Punk: Imagaine how hard they could make that f*cking song!!! _________________
