I have to run everyday.

This is the most likely cause of shin splints, not DDR.

And shin splints are NOT "cracks" and "fractures"... it's inflammation and damage to the muscle sheath around the shin, not the shin itself. A stress fracture can often accompany shin splints, but that's two different things. The distinction is important to note because shin splints can and should be treated with anti-inflammatories... which wouldn't be helpful in treating fractures.

Yes, I know that. The muscle " sheath isn't damaged very badly, it's the bone that is. Anyway, I have proof that it is from DDR Mr. Science Man/Lady. I could barely walk on my legs and fell down in the middle of the song and hadn't gone running that week (I took a break. So there.)

well, this isn't something i did, it's something one of my friends did. he attempted doing a lap around the arcade section of battlezone during the second freeze in ecstacy (the one right before the left/right jump) and he was doing pretty good, made the lap but didn't jump high enough over the bar so he hits the pad leaning too far forward because of his momentum and crashes into the machine. he still went on afterwards and got an A on it too. funniest thing i have ever witnessed in an arcade.

I haven't injured myself yet playing, but I've come really close to slipping and falling right on my face. The machine I usually play on gets really slick. I'm pretty sure dirt actually comes out from under the metal around the arrows when people play, because I always wipe it off and make sure my shoes are pretty clean.

Hey, I'm not proud of my limping, or the fact that I got it from DDR

I was playing Break Down on Standard, and the pad was a bit slippery so I fell and knocked over a fan that's set up next to the machine, which promptly fell down on em.

My pride was injured more than I was, but I still scraped my arm up pretty bad.

Failed attempt at humour I believe...please try again. E13.gif

I've slid off my RO Ignition and rolled my ankles many times. Breaking a combo hurts more than the actual momentary pain.

I dunno why, but I got this pain on the side of my foot 2 months ago, stopped playing for a month, and now I'm playing again and it's back. Like a horrid muscle cramp. Oh, and one time, I jumped off the machine when I couldn't go on and hit a Soul Caliber 2 machine on my way down. Stupid R3...

I play barefoot so I don't notice the blisters anymore... but there was one particular time at the arcade that i played 10 hours straight with a couple of the regulars and I would've kept going if my feet wouldn't have started bleeding... >>;
