If you look at the home versions of the game then you would notice that they do put songs in that are "main stream" or played on the radio. They have used songs like

Days Go By
Simply Being Loved
Blow My Whistle Baby
And those are just a few off the top of my head, there are more.

They aren't going to put songs on it that are playing on the radio right now because they need to get the rights to use the song etc. I'm glad that they don't put in too much Amercian pop as I completely hate. I like the style that DDR has now, I hope they don't change it too much if they ever do come out with a new version.

Unfortunately they have and, with the exception of Kylie, I didn't like any of them. My opinion is a definite no, probably because I don't listen to a lot of mainstream stuff anyway.

would it be safe to assume that most U.S. radio songs are way too slow for ddr? i would go to guess that most songs are less than 125BPM

First of all, you don't need to say first of all with only one point. Second of all, it did 'come out in the radio'!

Just because a song doesn't make it on the radio, doesn't mean it's not mainstream.

But yea, Blow My Whistle was on the radio...

Theres already a few mainstream songs in DDR MAX 2, not sure about Xtreme though.

Depends what genre music it is. For me, I'm more into the B4U rhythm, for music in DDR E7.gif

Yeah, well, Justify My Love by Tess (DDR 7th Mix) Is a big song, but gues where! Europe. Same story with E-Rotic. They chose alot of pop-ish EuroDance poopy to lincence, not US pop... Though, Dance Stage 2 does have a version of Cotten Eye Joe on it XD.

Oh, cant forget, So Deep by SilverTear, Licensed song, love the artist.

www.eurodancehits.com <---music videos for alot of euro-ish stuff, though, all of it is Real Media... Yeah, it blows I know.

There were many mainstream songs that were on just about every mix. DDR Extreme US had a remake of a Madonna song, how much more mainstream can you get?
