Just bought DDR MAX2 for ps2 and the songs are too slow!!!

So I have had Konamix for about 2 years and now I am really getting back into DDR after about a year and a half break. I have been playing a lot in the last 2 or 3 weeks and bought a foam pad and ddrmax2. I only have one problem... the songs are too slow.

My favorite song by far is BreAkdown because it is fast. I can complete it on heavy but all of the other songs are too easy on standard and too slow for me to get into it. I can complete almost every song when the speed is id to 1.5 on heavy but I am not sure what that does. It seems much easier and a lot more fun.

But when I want to play at the arcade, I cannot increase the speed when I am v.s.ing someone. What sould I do???

1. Putting it at 1.5 just makes the arrows more spaced out.
2. THIS GOES IN THE CONSOLE GAMES VERSION.

Just add more speed if your going to play a slow song.

I was annoyed by the same thing; most of the songs that are unlocked initially are pretty slow and boring. Just stick with it until you unlock some of the good stuff, like Afronova, Burning Heat, End of the Century, Maxx Unlimited, Xenon, etc.

welll put it on 2x speed mod thats what i play on..., max 2 afronova is... cant stop fallin in love..hysteria and 2001 maxx unlimited paranoia sp trip machine tsugaru twilight zone in the navy are some songs i find to be fun...
