There r so many reports of DDR fighting obesity, its starting to annoy me.

I mean, the media has taken this game from being about having FUn to becoming a fitness program. disgust.gif

It'd be nice to hear what difficulties these people are playing. I'm sure there'd be more incentive to play the songs at their hardest difficulties for maximum effect.

Except that almost all the stories about it say that it is an effective fitness progream because people have fun playing the game.

Keep in mind that articles from newspapers are geared towards adults, so they take an adult angle on things. In this case, the angle is that there is a game available that will make parents feel less guilty about all the time their kids spend playing videogames. In fact, it will make parents feel likey they're being proactive in encouraging their kids to live a healthier life.

In the meantime, the kids get set up with a fun game that their parents let them play non-stop (as long as they aren't on the second or third floor of the house).

So what's the harm here?

Once again, I learn the futility of providing perspective and using complete sentences.
