Judging from the description I've gotten of In The Groove, it's the same as Stepmania!! Four arrows, scrolling options that allow arrows to spin and rise in 3D, speed modifiers, mines, Drunk, Dizzy, Boomerang ect. Also it has the ability to place three or four arrows at once, which forces freestyle moves. It just has uglier arrows laugh.gif whadda ya think?

Yes, ITG is based off of an SM engine. Many of SM's developers contributed features or ideas to ITG's production, too.

BUT THIS DOES NOT MEAN "ITG=STEPMANIA". The system does *NOT* use SM files. Period. IT doesn't even use .dwi's. (RIP dance with intensity).
