I know, I know, folding up pads isn't the best thing, but it's the only option I have because I'm constantly taking my pad to different places (a friends house, my own home when I'm on break etc). What is the best way of folding up a soft pad that will cause the least amount of damage?

First, fold it up as little as you can get away with. The less folds, the better. If you must fold, make sure the folds correspond with the gaps between the sensors. This means folding it in "thirds".

Never make a fold across the center of an arrow.

Think of the pad as a giant tic tac toe board, with the lines running between each 9 sensor sections on the pad, and only fold along those lines.

Haha, or you can just not fold it at all. That'd be more safe in my opinion, as a wrong fold will kill the sensors.

Thanks for posting, but I already know what folding is going to do to my pad. I have no choice if I want to transport it anywhere, say to a friends house (I live in a dorm, I can't have 2 people playing here) or going home for a break (I can't afford having several pads).

So please, don't anyone else post here telling me to just not fold it. I already know what its going to do to my pad. I said that in the first post, please read it.

No, just keep it flat. You can transport it without folding it up, it's just that folding it up may be more practical but it'll damage the pad. If you really care about your pad/money then this will probably be what you have to do.

It would be cheaper to buy a pad for your house, keep the pad for your dorm, and tell your cheap friend to buy his own pad than to go through pad after pad folding them thinking you are saving money when you are not.
