When I saw someone else play it at the arcade.It was awsome, so decided that I was gonna try it.Of course I bombed it like everyone else that started, but I still played and a cuple day's later bought it and just played.

There is a thread just like this a couple places down.But i got into DDR when i was with your mom one night, shes pretty fast, and not at DDR.

On a cruise 3 or 4 years ago- it had a huge arcade on it and it included the Original DDR dance arcade box. That was the only game I ever played there. A year later I saw that it was out for psx and I was so upset because I thought to myself "What the hell, what si the point without the dance pad" (I didn't know dance pads could be bought, I just saw it on the shelf in block busters) and I played it a few more times in an arcade close by. Then a few days ago I went to my musical's cast party and someone brought their metal ddr pad and I played DDR for like, 3 hours straight. DDR is only worth owning if you have a metal pad. So I bought one. Hehe :-D and now I'm addicted!

I first did when I was walking in the local mall, I saw DDR but I didn't think much about it. XD A few days later I bought DDR Max and DDR Dance pad. x3 I instantly fell in love with so far I got DDR Max,DDR Max2, and DDR Extreme. =D

I saw a 3rd Mix machine at the arcade, played a song, and failed. Then, 6 months later, I passed 3 beginner songs on an Extreme machine. Then I starting playing a lot

A friend introduced it to me around June 2002 and i guess he quit playing like 2 months after, due to the fact that i beat him at some songs and got jealous but oh well. I found it appeasing that hardly anyone at school knew how to play at my skill level and wanted to be one of the best and at the moment, im striving to be one of the best though i still have a long way to go.

Tried it in the arcade, and failed miserably. But I thought it was pretty cool, so I bought DDRMax and a soft dance pad for about 40 bucks. I then practiced a lot at home and decided to go to the arcade after I was begining to move into heavy mode. I now play at the arcade all the time. I think you'd be crazy to practice getting good at the game without owning at least one home version and a pad though
